Tamil Industry’s young and star hero Siva Karthikeyan’s Prince which is Directed by Anudeep KV, the romantic entertainer film was released in theatres on October 21, 2022, and has received mixed responses from the audience as well as the critics.
Siva Karthikeyan who was in his rising period got a bit of backlash for doing the film with non serious theme. Prince also happens to be the third directorial venture Anudeep after the 2016 movie Pittagoda and the 2021 blockbuster comedy entertainer film Jathi Ratnalu. The film became the biggest failure in the career of Siva Karthikeyan.
According to the reports, the OTT giant Disney Plus Hotstar platform has bought the streaming rights of the film for a whopping amount. Although the film didn’t haven’t do well in the theaters, it is expected to get good response in it’s OTT release. Prince will stream on Hotstar from the 25th of November 2022.
Prince is produced by Suniel Narang, D. Suresh Babu, and Pushkar Ram Mohan under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cinemas and Suresh Productions.
The film stars Siva Karthikeyan in the lead role as a secondary school teacher, Anbarasan/Anand, where Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka plays his love interest, Jessica, a British girl who also comes to the school as a secondary school teacher.
Apart from them, the film also stars Sathyaraj, Premgi Amaran, Sathish Krishnan, Prankster Rahul, Anandaraj, Hello Kandasamy, and Bharath in other important roles.
Prince has received very lukewarm response in both reviews and Box Office wise. Telugu audience felt that it would have been better if the film was made with a Telugu hero, then it could have garnered positive responses and the Tamil audience felt that when Siva Karthikeyan worked with the Telugu director Anudeep he should have done a proper bilingual movie. Let’s hope the movie scores good marks at least in the OTT release.
