Sita Ramam was released in theatres on August 5th and has opened to positive reviews and a decent opening weekend in terms of box office. The film had a decent opening day followed by a jump in collections on Saturday and Sunday. The film is doing pretty well regionally but even the overseas box office has been promising.
Sita Ramam is having an excellent run in the USA. It has already stormed past the $500K mark on the first Sunday alone. It is also performing better than the other Tollywood release which is also tasting box office success currently. Sita Ramam has outperformed Bimbisara in the USA.
Sita Ramam is also the first film to cross the $500K mark from Tollywood after Ante Sundaraniki. There have been no films that come even a little close to touching the $500K mark since Ante Sundaraniki’s release.
With the positive word of mouth only increasing with each passing day, the box office numbers are sure to increase. However the performance of the film may be affected due to the parallel release of Bimbisara as well.
Sita Ramam stars Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna and Tharun Bhascker among others. Hanu Raghavapudi is the director of the movie and Vyjayanthi movies have produced the project. Vishal Chandrashekar is the music director of the movie.
