Shockingly, Uppena wins National award for Telugu best film

The Centre has announced the 69th National Film Awards this evening. Shockingly, Uppena won the prestigious national award for the best Telugu film. The awards were presented awards for the year 2021. When everyone expected either RRR, Pushpa or other films to win the best film award, Uppena shocked everyone by winning the award. The film marks the debut of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s nephew Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty, and it was released on February 12, 2021.

The film tells us the story of A young man (Aashi) from a fishermen (Gangaputra) family falls in love with the daughter (Bebamma) of the village head of the same village. Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi played the lead role of a villain in the film, which was released as a small film and became a super hit. An excellent album by music director Devi Sri Prasad has added strength to the film. The movie was released on Netflix (OTT) on April 14, 2021.

The national film award, which is considered to be one of the most prestigious in the Indian film industry, has been won by Uppena without any expectations which has come across as a shock to everyone.

The National Award winners were announced at a jury press conference at the National Media Centre in Delhi at 5 pm on Thursday. Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood, Malluwood and Sandalwood industries are part of the Indian film industry.
