More than 150 crores is on stake as Indian2 is unlikely to start any time soon. More than 60% of the movie has been completed. Around 65-70 working days are remaining. There are various internal issues in the team. According to Kajal Agarwal, the female lead in the film, the movie has been stalled as of now as most of the prosthetic and the vfx team is from the USA and its difficult to coordinate due to the COVID-19 issues.
Meanwhile, Shankar’s next with Ram Charan #RC15 is apparently set to start rolling from June. The movie is said to be an action drama with lot of elevation scenes and dialogues, the genre which Shankar started his career with. The movie will be less on VFX and more on drama. Most of the cast and crew from Indian 2 seem to have moved on to other films. It remains to see if Shankar will come back to Indian2 after RC15 or he will finish Indian2 first. Also, it could be that Indian 2 is completely dropped. However, more than 150 cr will be lost if the project is dropped. There is no official news from Shankar, Kamal, or Lyca.
