Balagam, a low-budget movie starring Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Kavya Kalyanram and Kethiri Sudhakar Reddy performed extremely well at the box office and became a blockbuster. The film was released on March 3. Since its release, it has built up positive response from audience and critics as well.
Now, it seems like the makers of the film have also got an OTT release agreement with multiple platforms. The film is reported to hit the OTT from tonight on Amazon Prime and Simply South platform.
With the release of the film, comedian Venu Yeldandi made his directorial debut in Tollywood. However, when he announced his directorial venture, not many were convinced to see him in the role of director. But he proved his abilities through the success of his movie.
Harshith Reddy and Hanshitha Reddy bankrolled the film under the banner of Dil Raju productions. A rural family tragedy, Balagam revolves around how the death of a patriarch unleashes rivalry among members of his family.
The other cast of the film includes Kota Jayaram, Kommu Sujatha, Muralidhar Ireni, Arusam Madhusudhan, Aasni Manaswini Gowd and more. The music for the film has been given by Bheems Ceciroleo and the cinematography has been handled by Acharya Venu.
Actually, the netizens were surprised after knowing Balagam made it to the OTT just 3 weeks from its theatrical release. Maybe the team had signed a 3 week agreement for the OTT window before the release itself. The movie is still running with great numbers, especially in Nizam Region.
