Suriya’s Scene is on a strong upward trend at the box office. After a career-best opening, the film has grown on its second day in India, and Day 3 bookings point to an even bigger number.

Day 1: ₹23 Cr in India and Day 2 Even Bigger

Scene opened with around ₹23 Cr gross in India on Day 1.

On Day 2, the film went past its opening day number in every territory except Kerala, taking its India collection to more than ₹25 Cr for the day.

Kerala had posted a huge opening of ₹6 Cr, so a slight dip there was expected. Everywhere else, the film grew.

Day 3 Set to Be the Biggest

The advance bookings for Day 3 are better than both Day 1 and Day 2, setting the film up for its biggest day yet.

That puts Scene on a Day 3 > Day 2 > Day 1 trend in India, a fantastic sign that shows strong word of mouth driving audiences to theatres.

Overseas Going Strong

Overseas, Scene is continuing its strong run. The film collected ₹17.7 Cr outside India on its opening day, and it is holding well in international markets too.

Another Blockbuster for Suriya

Scene is shaping up to be another big success for Suriya. It is his third release of the year, after Karuppu and Vishwanath and Sons, and all three have opened with a positive response.

With a growing trend, the Diwali holidays ahead and its full budget already recovered from non-theatrical rights, Scene is well on its way to becoming another blockbuster for the actor.
