A Record Opening in Kerala
Kerala was the big highlight. Scene collected ₹6 Cr in the state on Day 1, beating Kanguva’s ₹4.2 Cr to become Suriya’s biggest-ever opening in Kerala.
Director Jithu Madhavan, known for Romancham and Aavesham, along with Naslen and Nazriya Nazim in the cast, made the film a huge draw among Malayalam audiences.
Strong Overseas Start
Overseas contributed a big ₹17.7 Cr, close to half of the film’s worldwide total. The positive response from Tamil and Malayalam audiences abroad has given the film a strong international start.
Day 2 Even Better
The best news is the hold. In India, Scene’s Day 2 is trending even better than Day 1, a strong sign of positive word of mouth. Overseas is also expected to keep the same momentum.
With the Diwali holidays on its side, the film is set for a big opening weekend.
On Course for a Big Run
Scene has already recovered its entire budget from non-theatrical rights, and it needs around ₹200 Cr gross worldwide to be a hit. With a career-best start and a growing trend, the film is well on its way.
