The legendary South Indian actor Sarath Babu was admitted to hospital nearly three weeks ago in Bangalore. Many industry people and colleagues have been praying for the 71-year-old to recover quickly.

According to the recent reports, the actor was moved back to a general room, citing a positive response to his vitals for the last few hours. However, hospital management has remained silent about his immediate discharge, as it believes that the current situation should be observed for some time before taking any decision. Sarath Babu has not been seen in films for some years now, and he has been out of the limelight. We will have to wait another few hours for the next update on his health, but the actor seems to be doing well right now.

Sarath Babu was one of the leading actors of Tamil and Telugu cinema of his time. Known for his good looks, the actor was busy for close to four decades, where he went on to share the screen with some of the biggest names in South Indian Cinema.

Sarath Babu made his on-screen debut with K Balachandar’s Pattina Pravesam(1971). He later participated in important films of this era, like Nizhal Nijamagiradhu, Annamalai, Muthu, Baba, and Puthiya Geethai being some of his big hits. He was also known for sharing the screen with superstars like Rajinikanth, and Chiranjeevi, with the largest number of collaborations with Rajinikanth in his blockbuster movies of the 90s.

The actor later made entry into television serials and found a good audience there as well and won plenty of Nandi awards for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh respectively.
