Actress Samantha is all excited and much happy as she wraps her shooting part of the upcoming Indian web series, Citadel. On Thursday, Samantha took to Instagram and shared a happy selfie from her car. She wrote that “A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming”. She also thanked the creators, Raj and DK for writing a lifetime character for and funnily stated that will be only until they write another strong character for her.
Created by Raj and DK, the action oriented series also stars Varun Dhawan. The series is an Indian adaptation of the Russo Brothers series of the same name. Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden are the main stars of the international version. The release date of the Indian version of Citadel has yet to come.
Varun Dhawan and Samantha’s Citadel will be premiered on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Recently, Varun and Samantha met the President Droupadi Murmu in Serbia.
On ‘Citadel’, Samantha earlier said, “When Prime Video and Raj and DK approached me with this project, I decided to take it up in a heartbeat! After working with this team on The Family Man, it is homecoming for me. The Citadel universe, the interconnected storylines between the productions across the globe, and most importantly, the script of the Indian installment really excited me. I am thrilled to be a part of this brilliant universe conceptualized by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO.”
In addition to ‘Citadel’, Samantha will also be seen in the upcoming film Kushi, in which she is collaborating with Vijay Deverakonda. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film is supposed to be an interfaith love story.
