Salman Khan and director Vamshi Paidipally have kicked off their much-awaited collaboration, with pre-production works going at full pace. The Salman Khan-Vamshi Paidipally film is targeting an Eid 2027 release, giving the production roughly a year on the floor.

Massive Set Coming Up in Goregaon

A large-scale mini-city set is reportedly being constructed at the SRPF Ground in Goregaon, Mumbai. Shooting is slated to begin on April 14. The scale of the set suggests this is being mounted as a big-budget spectacle.

Nayanthara Stars Alongside Salman; Dil Raju Producing

Nayanthara is on board as the female lead, pairing opposite Salman Khan for the first time. Veteran producer Dil Raju is backing the project — a combination that adds considerable weight to the venture.

About Director Vamshi Paidipally

Vamshi Paidipally debuted with Munna (2007), starring Prabhas. He went on to direct Oopiri (2016) and Maharshi (2019), a massive commercial hit for Mahesh Babu. His most recent film, Varisu (2023) with Vijay, further cemented his track record with top-tier stars.

Salman Khan’s Upcoming Release

Before this project goes to the floor, Salman Khan has Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace lined up. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Salman Khan Films, the patriotic action film was formerly titled Battle of Galwan and is targeting a late summer release.

Salman has faced a difficult box office run in recent years. The Vamshi Paidipally film — with Dil Raju producing and Nayanthara opposite Salman — is a high-profile bet. With a competitive Eid 2027 box office window already shaping up, the timing adds another layer of interest.
