Salaar Producers are closing the theatrical business in all territories as less than a couple of months away from release, the race for theatrical rights has heated up with producers and distributors trying to close the business for this monumental project. While there is massive hype for this film, the trade isn’t exactly responding as the makers expected.

The Salaar producers expected 200Cr business from Telugu states and for Nizam they are hoping 65Cr, Ceeded 35Cr, and Andhra [6 Territories] 100Cr ratio. In Nizam, they got the business exactly as expected. In Andhra and Ceeded they expected 135Cr business but the business is closing under 100Cr which has not satisfied the makers.

The main reason for lower offers in Andhra Pradesh is due to recent G.Os which have impacted the distributors. The ticket prices in AP are low compared to Telangana and the government is not allowing for midnight shows and big hikes on ticket prices which is impacting the hires and business. Now total Telugu state business is in the range of 160Cr. This is 40Cr is less than what they expected in the Andhra Pradesh business.
