Salaar’s Postponement resulted in crores of losses for Hi Nanna and Extra Ordinary Man. It is widely known that the Pan Indian action drama or Prabhas and Prashanth Neel was set to be released on September 28th. However, due to the delay in VFX and other work, the film was postponed to Christmas weekend. However, this sudden change has caused severe damage to Nani’s Hi Nanna and Nithin’s Extra Ordinary Man.
Hi Nanna and Extra Ordinary Man both films were planned for Christmas release which is an excellent release date with holiday period and two long weekends, but their plans were thrashed as Salaar was postponed from September 28th to December 22nd.
So, with no option, Nani and Nithin shifted the release plans to 7th and 8th December, which has impacted them badly. Hi Nanna’s content is superb, and it is performing well at the box office. The emotional drama will achieve the breakeven mark worldwide, but in Andhra Pradesh it might not be able to achieve the breakeven. Salaar Postponement results in crores of losses for Hi Nanna and Extra Ordinary Man.
Nani’s Hi Nanna has a potential to collect massive numbers at the box office, but the release date has limited it to close around 30Cr. On another side, Extra Ordinary Man could have at least got a decent weekend if it had fallen on Christmas weekend but because of the wrong release date and word of mouth being bad, the film completely crashed from the opening shows itself.
If the release date was good for Nithin’s film, it might have posted the numbers like Macherla Niyojakavargam. Now, the closing numbers of the film are just 60% of Macherla Niyojakavargam movie’s opening day. Both movies have been impacted massively with the release date change due to Salaar.
