Bollywood Box Office was on a rampage in 2023
It is widely known that this year, 2023 has been a big year for Bollywood trade as many movies have put huge numbers at the box office. SRK gave back to back all time blockbusters like Jawan and Pathaan. This year was a true comeback for the Star. However, Salaar and Dunki have deeply disappointed the Hindi trade with their box office performance.
Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, and many more medium budget films have also worked big at the box office this year for Bollywood. Gadar 2 and OMG 2 both films worked well and collectively put extra Ordinary numbers in competition.
The same happened with the recent clash of Animal and Sam Bahadur as both the films did well at the box office. So the Bollywood trade anticipated that the competition of two huge biggies like Salaar and Dunki will produce unbelievable numbers and the audience will float into the theaters.
Salaar and Dunki disappoint the Hindi Trade
However, Salaar and Dunki have deeply disappointed the Hindi trade with their box office performance. Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki collected 108Cr net in 4 days and Salaar collected 50Cr net in 3 days in its Hindi versions.
The trade had expected both films will have a chance to do massive numbers like 400Cr, 500Cr net if they receive positive reviews. Despite getting a positive response, the audiences did not turn well. Now even if we put together both the films’ net, they do not have a chance to do 500Cr net or even 400Cr net also doubtful looking at the trend.
