Story: Saindhav Koneru (Venkatesh) works at a harbor and lives a happy life with his daughter. He has an unpleasant past that no one is aware of. In an unexpected situation, he requires an injection that costs 17 crore to save his daughter. The film shows his past life, how he can save his daughter, and how he stops a crime cartel that is planning a big terrorist activity.
Performances: Venkatesh portrays Saindhav Koneru aka SAIKO very well. His screen presence remains charming as ever. He effortlessly handles a few emotional moments for which he is well known, and he looked dashing in action sequences as well. Baby Ssara Palekar was good, while Nawazuddin Siddiqui was impressive. Shraddha Srinath Arya, Ruhani Sharma, Andrea Jeremiah, Jisshu Sen Gupta, Mukesh Rishi, Jayaprakash and others were okay.
Saindhav First Half Review:
The first half of the film starts with a small brief about the hero’s past. Then the narrative moves to his family life. A few bonding moments between father and daughter work well. Though the pace is constantly slow, the film goes on a passable mode. After a major turn, the focus shifts to the action part and the interval episode also works, raising the anticipation towards the second half.
Saindhav Second Half Review:
The second half also starts on an interesting note, but the game between Hero and Villain gets predictable. The point of linking Injection and crime cartel looks overstretched. Also, the setup of crime cartel looks underdeveloped as the dynamics and power politics lack the effect. The Climax came good, giving the film effect of a totality.
Positives:
- Venkatesh Storyline
- Action Episodes
- Climax
Negatives:
- Dull Narration
- Lack of Emotional Depth
- Music
Saindhav Movie Review and Verdict:
Saindhav is a conventional thriller with a few good parts. The film fails to deliver a strong impact because of the lack of emotional connection, making it an underwhelming watch after a point. However, Venkatesh’s performance, well choreographed action episodes, and the climax work well for the film.
