He referred to the need for minor surgery and estimated a recovery period of about six months to return stronger and fully recovered.

Some netizens are saying that Sai might be following the footsteps of Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who also recently took a break from films. The actor desires to prioritize his physical well-being and deliver his best performances on screen, resulting in this decision.
During a recent media interaction while promoting his upcoming film Bro The Avatar Sai Dharam Tej revealed his intention to take a break. He pointed out the importance of returning to work in top form, stating, “There shouldn’t be any complaints from the audience. I want to give it my all for all my movies. I need to undergo a small surgery, and I will come back stronger. I will probably need around six months to recover completely.”
The need for surgery has come as a result of a bike accident that Sai Dharam Tej had in September 2021. He sustained injuries after his sports bike skidded and fell on the cable bridge in Hyderabad, resulting in a lengthy hospitalization and rest period. The accident led to soft tissue injuries and a collarbone fracture, but he has courageously overcome them and returned to the silver screen.
However, it appears that Sai Dharam Tej decided to undergo another surgical procedure related to hid previous injuries, taking the opportunity to recover completely during her break.
