Ravi Teja’s Ravanasura and Kiran Abbavarm’s Meter are the two major theatrical releases of the week. Both films have hit the screens yesterday and there has been a positive buzz around both these films.
Ravi Teja’s unique characterization coupled with Sudheer Verma’s interesting plot had intrigued the audience towards Ravanasura. The Mass Maharaja was in a terrific form and everyone expected him to score a hat-trick after Dhamaka and Waltair Veerayya.
Kiran Abbavaram’s Meter was very well promoted as a wholesome commercial entertainer. His earlier film Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha received good applause from the audience. This is why the audience had set expectations for both these films, but sadly both the films fail to meet the expectations. Raviteja’s Ravanasura received a mixed talk, but it did well at the box office on the opening day.
Ravanusara had a decent opening on the first day and collected around 4.4 Crores share in the Telugu states and worldwide number will be close to 5 Crores and the movie needs to perform strongly in weekend to achieve the breakeven status. The theatricals of Ravanasura are valued at 23.5 Crores.
Meanwhile, Kiran Abbavaram’s Meter had reported day deficits on the opening day itself. The film had collected zero share and the theatricals are at 3.8 Crores and the film is an outright disaster already with no hope of it improving its collections.
Ravi Teja’s RT Teamworks and Abhishek Nama have bankrolled Ravanasura directed by Sudheer Verma. Harshavardhan Rameswar and Bheems Ceciroleo are composing music for this action thriller which also stars Daksha Nagarkar, Faria Abdullah, Sushant, Megha Akash, and Poojita Ponnada
