Ranbir Kapoor has caught the attention of the audience with his shocking comments on the prestigious DadaSaheb Phalke Awards. Bollywood’s actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt recently won the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival awards in the Best Actor and Best Actress categories, respectively. While Ranbir picked up the award for Brahmastra: Part One Shiva, Alia was awarded for Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Ranbir said that he ‘didn’t fully deserve’ the award. Yes, during a promotional event in Chandigarh for his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir was asked about his and Alia’s win to which, he said, “Of course, I am truly grateful ki mujhe yeh sammaan dia. I don’t think I fully deserve it for Brahmastra.”
Further, he added that his acting work in the film was not that great, but he said of course you feel great when you receive an award. However, he praised his wife Alia and said she deserved it for her stellar performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Brahmastra, also starring Alia and Amitabh Bachchan with extended cameos of Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna in cameo roles, was the highest-grosser Hindi film of 2022. While the expectations among movie lovers and fans are high for Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev, Ranbir clinching the Dadasaheb Phalke Award doubled their happiness.
