Ramayana Filming Takes Off

Nitesh Tiwari’s dream project Ramayana finally got on floors with the first schedule going on the way. The shoot started today in Mumbai with a big set erected for it. Ranbir Kapoor will be playing Lord Rama’s role while Sai Pallavi has been cast as Sita Devi.

Kannada superstar Yash will be seen as Ravana and many big stars will be playing important roles. Ramayana is a three-part film franchise and the first part is planned to be released in 2025 end.

Ranbir will join the crew in the next few days. Tiwari and his team did a small pooja ceremony on the set before the shoot to take blessings from the cast and crew. A picture from the sets has also gone viral on social media where the large set of the film can be seen in the background.

Sunny Deol has reportedly been locked in for the role of Hanuman. Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are also reportedly in talks for the roles of Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana respectively. Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is the second attempt of Bollywood at telling the epic saga. Prabhas had earlier starred as Ram in Om Raut’s Adipurush which was heavily criticised.
