The 61-year-old director who has just directed ‘Dunki’ announced that the show will be accessible on Disney Plus Hotstar.
” I’m doing an OTT show, which we start shooting this month. I’m a showrunner for that; I’m not directing it. It’s a show for Hotstar (Disney+ Hotstar), and Vikrant Massey is playing a role in it. It’s something I’m pleased about with the script and the way it has panned out. I am deeply involved in this show, and it feels like it’s in my own space,” said Rajkumar Hirani.

Before the release of ‘3 Idiots’, Hirani was scheduled to direct the third installment of the ‘Munnabhai series, which had a title and a teaser, but the project did not move further.
Hirani said that the third installment of the Munnabhai Franchise has been on his mind for a while, but he wants to direct it with a great story, and he will not make it just to capitalize on the popularity of his first two movies. Munnabhai MBBS was released in 2003, and Lage Raho Munnabhai was released in 2006, starring Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi as a comic goon and his sidekick.
