Salman Khan starrer Radhe released amidst great expectations. The movie saw Prabhudeva and Salman Khan reunite after Dabanng 3. With theatres being shut, Radhe released on Zee 5 in India and had a theatrical release overseas only.
The movie has been trashed by critics and there haven’t been any takers for it on Zee 5 post the initial euphoria. In fact, the overseas collections of this film have turned out to be one of the lowest in Salman’s career.
The film failed to even collect on par with Naveen Polishetty’s recent blockbuster Jathiratnalu. While Jathiratnalu collected $700K (Premieres + 4 Days Gross) in USA, Radhe has not even managed half of that. This action film has grossed less than $250K in 4 days despite theatre situation in USA being much better than at the time of the release of Telugu comedy.
These returns have indeed been disappointing for Radhe makers who went ahead with a hybrid release model of OTT + theatres with great hope.
