Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is one of the most awaited movies of the year. The combination of Sukumar and Allu Arjun would be looking to score another hit this time on a pan -India level. Pushpa now joins RRR & KGF: Chapter 2 as movies to have generated immense craze way before their respective releases.
The decision to go pan-India looks to be a smart one for Pushpa considering the subject and star cast’s universal appeal. Adding to this, Allu Arjun’s craze in other states is going to be a massive advantage for this action thriller. Although the Ala Vaikunthapura Lo star has never ventured outside Tollywood he still boasts of massive popularity in other states. Considering these factors Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar’s decision to go pan- India with this film looks like a winner.
The movie will release in two instalments and this can act big time to the maker’s advantage. With massive deals being signed for digital rights of the movies these days, Pushpa will have a great scope to attract the audience through OTTs even if it fails to attract them theatrically in other languages. While the movie has massive hype and excitement for Telugu version, the part one of the movie can play a huge role in the franchise’s success in all languages as we saw with Bahubali.
Pushpa is Sukumar and Allu Arjun’s 3rd movie after Arya and Arya 2. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa is an action thriller that revolves around red sandal smuggling. Allu Arjun plays the role of a truck driver, who illegally transports the forest produce. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. It will release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi later this year.
