Lyca Production saw a major setback with the recent release Indian 2. Due to this massive disaster, they are now facing a tough situation on their next biggie release. Lyca Productions are now producing Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi and Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan.
They had initially planned Vettiyan for Dasara and Vidaamuyarchi for Diwali. But Vettiyan needs some more time and with Kanguva releasing at Dasara time, Vettiyan has a Diwali release as an option. But, releasing both their biggies in the same Diwali clash is not a wise move.
It now needs to be seen which movie comes for Diwali and which one moves to a later date. Fans of Ajith and Rajinikanth want their films to be released for Diwali as it is one of the biggest festivals for Tamil people. But Lyca would not do so especially considering Siva Karthikeyan’s Amaraan has also been already announced for Diwali release.
Directed by T. J. Gnanavel of Jai Bhim (2021) fame, it features an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Fassil, and Rana Daggubati. Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi is directed by Magizh Thirumeni and also stars Trisha, Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Das, Arav, and Regina Cassandra in key roles
