Priyanka Arul Mohan is currently basking in the success of her latest release, Captain Miller (2024). The action adventure starring Dhanush in the lead role has been performing well at the ticket window, emerging as a profitable venture for the makers.
As a part of the film’s promotions, the 29-year-old actress was asked if we would do on-screen kissing scenes. As expected from her, she remained sceptical about performing such scenes. While she began by saying “I don’t have any say,” she ended up brushing the topic off by stating she’s not comfortable doing them even if the script demands them.
It should be noted that Mohan does not belong to the category of actors who are associated with performing strong intimate scenes or high doses of glamour. In fact, the bubbly actor is best known for playing young ‘homely’ women in light-hearted family-friendly films such as Suriya’s Etharkkum Thunindhavan (2022) and Shiva Kartikeyan’s Don (2022).
After making her Telugu debut in Nani’s Gang Leader, she went on to star in the rural drama Sreekaram, opposite Sharwanand. While the former was an average venture, the latter bombed at the box office. However, the actress pins high hopes on her upcoming biggies, Saripoda Sanivaram (2024), which marks her reunion with ‘Natural Star’ Nani and Pawan Kalyan’s gangster drama, OG (2024), the biggest film in her career so far. With these flicks heading for a release in August and September respectively, it should be seen how this year, which began well with Captain Miller (2024), turns out for her.
