Prime Minister Narendra Modi applauded the recent Bollywood film ‘The Vaccine War’ for its portrayal of India’s fight against Corona and the role of scientists in it. The film was released last month and failed terribly at the box office.
This project helmed by Vivek Agnihotri was straight-up rejected by the audience as well as critics. The Prime Minister on the other hand had great appreciation for the movie.
I have heard that a film ‘The Vaccine War’ has come. The scientists of our country worked hard day and night to fight COVID-19 in India…All these things have been shown in that film… I congratulate the makers of this film for giving importance to scientists and science by making this film,” said PM Modi.
The Vaccine War starred Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, Raima Sen, Sapthami Gowda, and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. Much was expected from this project considering the blockbuster performance of Vivek Agnihotri’s last film ‘The Kashmir Files. This medical thriller though left very little positives for the audience and was straight-up rejected
