Young Director Prasanth Varma scored a massive blockbuster with HanuMan (2024), but after that he has not started a single project and has faced many issues, like films getting shelved and some financial issues as well.
The filmmaker recently took part in the Imagining Tomorrow: India’s VFX Revolution [Knowledge Series at Waves Film Bazaar] and said that he has learned from the past mistakes, and now he has a proper idea of how to work on films.
Prasanth said that after some bad experiences with his first films, he decided that whenever he signs a project, he will make an agreement with the producers to have the authority to fix the release date, and once the film is shot, he will take enough time to cook it properly.
As mentioned previously, Prasanth Varma encountered several issues following the success of HanuMan. He had commitments to multiple projects, which were unfortunately shelved or put on hold. He is now preparing to begin his next film, Jai Hanuman, starring Rishabh Shetty, with a planned release in early 2026.
