The 69th National Awards for Indian films released in 2021 were announced on Thursday (August 24). Since then, the Tamil film fraternity is constantly voicing their opinion against the National Awards jury and the Indian government for not selecting Tamil film, Jai Bhim which stars Suriya in the lead role. Actor and Politician Prakash Raj also blames the government for the same.

“Jai Bhim”, released in 2021 starring Suriya, Manikandan, Anumol, Rajisha Vijayan, Prakash Raj and others, received great praise from the audiences and critics as well. Which is why the film not getting a single national award has caused dissatisfaction among Tamil cinema fans.

Everyone expected the film to get National Award, one of the highest awards given to cinema in India, on the contrary, not a single award was announced for the film. This has caused dissatisfaction among all parties, such as the film industry and fans, and many people are constantly posting on social media.
