The recently released teaser of Adipurush has changed all the plans the makers had regarding the movie’s release. The teaser received negative feedback and the VFX and costume design of the characters received flak from most of the audience. Due to the poor feedback, the team has started working on the VFX patchwork again. This will cost more than 100Cr and resultantly take much more time.
Now, Adipurush makers have decided to postpone the film and have stated that they will take more time on post-production work and try give the best possible output. Om Raut took to Twitter and announced that the film will now release on June 16, 2023. Initially, the team had announced January 2023 as the release date for this mythological drama.
This new release date looks to be a risky one and has more disadvantages than advantages. Normally this period is considered as a dry period as the schools and colleges will re-open at this time. There are no holidays during this period.
Keeping all these factors in mind the makers announced Sankranti 2023 as the release date. But now, the June release date sounds quite ill-planned and might affect the movie’s performance. Don’t know why the makers choose this date for such a big film
The mythological drama is based on Ramayan and is directed by Om Raut. Prabhas will be playing the titular role of Adipurush (Lord Ram). The film also features Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh. The pan India project will release worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
