Prabhas fans damage the screen during the Yogi re-release celebration

The re-release trend is currently having a good craze n Tollywood. The old super hit films of Star heroes are being released in theaters again. This new trend is unexpectedly bringing profits to the producers. With this, the production houses are bringing the films of many star heroes to the theaters to cash in on this craze. On the other hand, the fans of star heroes are behaving badly by damaging the screens during their re-release celebrations. 

Prabhas fans were celebrating the re-release of Yogi and while they were dancing at the Raj theater in Nandyal, they fell on the screen with over enthusiasm and both the screen was torn and damaged. The exhibitors in Nandyal decided to stop screening the re-release movies with. 

Over the past few months, this vandalism has emerged as a major problem for theater management, and they are facing massive losses. These losses ran into lakhs for many theatres. In many places, chairs and screens were also damaged, much to theater management’s disarray.

Directed by VV Vinayak, Yogi, the film was released in 2007. This is Prabhas’ immediate film after the blockbuster hit ‘Chhatrapati’. It was released in more than 225 theaters and created a record back then. Senior actress Sharada played the role of Prabhas’s mother in the film. Nayanthara was the heroine. The songs of the film Yogi, composed by Ramana Gogula, were very much liked by the audience.
