Poor 2nd weekend for Vijay Deverakonda’s Kushi at the box office

Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha’s Kushi had posted decent – good numbers on the first weekend and saw a drastic drop on the weekdays. But the trade expected it to pick up momentum on the 2nd weekend but with new releases like SRK’s Jawan and Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty getting positive reviews, the shows and theaters for Kushi got decreased.

Now even in limited shows and theaters the movie is still struggling to get the decent occupancy which results in a poor 2nd weekend with negligible numbers. This indicates the film’s box office run coming to an end faster than expected. Overall, the film faced a poor 2nd weekend at the box office.

Kushi also stars Murali Sharma, Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Pradeep, and Vennela Kishore in crucial roles. It is a pan-India release with it hitting the screens in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Fans were eager to catch Vijay in a romantic role after a long time and with Samantha’s presence, there was greater curiosity as to how this pair will look on screen, but Shiva Nirvana’s narration and the film’s dip in tempo in the second half made the audience feel detached.
