Back in 2018, 96 was released in theatres and went on to become an instant classic amongst the audiences. The film was received extremely well by both the general audiences as well as the critics. Despite being an unconventional film with no fights, no family drama, no odd romance, people flocked to the theatres to watch the movie.
There is now a strong buzz that the Tamil Movie ’96’ is getting a part 2 after 4 long years. Director Prem Kumar has finished the screenplay work of the film, and there will be an official announcement very soon.
What made 96 so special was the brilliant chemistry shared by the main leads, Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan. They are also likely to star in the second installment of the film.
