Kalki 2898 AD’s Hindi Version Surpasses Telugu!

Kalki 2898 AD is a massive money-spinner at the box office. Despite receiving mixed word-of-mouth, it went on to perform well, minting over INR 1200 crore worldwide. The Prabhas-starrer is now the fourth highest-grossing Indian film after Bahubali. The Conclusion, RRR, and KGF: Chapter 2.

In its 39 days of theatrical run, this sci-fi epic has minted a gross of INR 225 crore in its original Telugu version. But what makes this film special is that the Hindi-dubbed version outperformed the Telugu version, minting INR 227 crore worldwide.

This is a really remarkable feat by Nag Ashwin. Kalki 2898 AD also features Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, Disha Patani, and Deepika Padukone. Aswini Dutt has bankrolled this mega project under Vyjayanthi Movies. A second installment in the series is in development.

Mr. Bachchan is a commercial potboiler film featuring ‘Mass Maharaja’ Ravi Teja in the titular role. An official remake of Ajay Devgn’s Raid (2018), it is helmed by Harish Shankar, who is known for handling remakes well. People Media Factory is the production company.

Starring Bhagyasree Borse as the female lead, it is scheduled for a grand release tomorrow to encash on the Independence Day weekend. Needless to say, it is clashing with Ram Pothineni’s Double Ismart.

A day before its official theatrical release, paid premiere shows were planned predominantly in Telugu states. Proving the trade experts wrong, this Ravi Teja-starrer performed exceedingly well, with over 100 shows sold out. Considering this scenario, a big opening is expected by the makers tomorrow.

‘Victory’ Venkatesh’s Next Begins Production – Deets Inside!

Venkatesh was last seen in Sailesh Kolanu’s action thriller Saindhav (2024), a commercial failure at the box-office. Aiming to make a comeback, he has joined hands with Anil Ravipudi for the third time after the highly- successful Fun & Frustration series.

This time, the actor-director duo is gearing up for a gripping crime drama centered around three characters: the protagonist, his spouse, and his former girlfriend. Ace producer ‘Dil’ RajuIndian 2 Killing Game Changer is funding this project on a big budget. The first schedule for the project is being shot in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu.

Tentatively titled VenkyAnil3, it features Meenakshi Choudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh as the female leads. Bheems Ceciroleo is the music composer. An official announcement was made regarding the project today; the makers are aiming for a release in January 2025.

Final Verdict: A very boring Raid!!

10:05PM IST: Mr. Bachchan completely loses it in the second half. The entire raid was very boring, with no strong conflicts or interesting scenes. The filler scenes with Chammak Chandra and other family members are unbearable

9:35PM IST: The second half is very uninteresting, with not a single moment working, including Siddhu’s cameo. The comedy and other filler scenes are completely outdated. Very boring Raid So far..

NTR suffers a minor injury

Tollywood Actor, NTR is currently busy shooting for his film, Devara. The Actor has suffered a minor injury in the sets of Devara. An official statement regarding this has already been released. It stated that the Actor sustained a minor sprain to the left wrist a couple of days before while working out in the gym. So, this is a cause of concern for the fans now.

But it is also learned that the injury was a minor one and there was nothing to worry for the fans and audience. NTR even actively participated in the shoot portion of Devara after this injury. But he will take rest for a few days more and then start shooting for the remaining portion.

Devara shoot is also on the last note. Two songs from the film have already been released and they made big noise with the audience. Venkat Prabhu has stated that The GOAT will be a kind of farewell to Vijay Sir’s cinematic journey. “I’ve done everything possible to ensure people are happy with Vijay sir in the film,” said the director. He further added that Vijay truly enjoyed the film and showed more enthusiasm for it than for any other.

Thangalaan set for Record opening

Thangalaan starring Vikram is set for release tomorrow. The film has created good buzz not only in Tamil but also in Telugu Language. The promotional content of the film especially the visuals have worked very well. Advance bookings have already opened and they are very promising. Advance bookings of the the film are even better than Raayan. Thangalaan with all these advantages is set for a record opening tomorrow.

Vikram’s earlier film, Cobra grossed around 12 crores on the opening day. This was a record for Vikram in Tamil Nadu. Indian 2: 300 Cr Over Budget

Shankar’s Indian 2 has been a colossal disaster at the box office. As if theatrical failure was not enough, the film has faced endless trolls since its release on Netflix. Indian 2 has been facing one hurdle after another right from the day it was announced.

At first, Lyca Productions which produced the film took Shankar to court over his non-compliance with the project. The legal troubles for Shankar started when Lyca accused that Shankar for being non-commital towards the project. The makers demanded a restraining order on Shankar from working on any other project till Indian 2 was completed.

Once these legal issues were sorted, the film’s budget became another major concern. Indian 2 was planned as a single film with 235 Cr budget. Shankar failed to complete the film within the planned budget.

Due to budget and legal issues, the Kamal Haasan starter came to a halt and Shankar switched to Game Changer. After the blockbuster success of Vikram, Indian 2 was back to the sets with Rs 150 Cr additional budget. Surprisingly, the team failed to complete the film even in this budget and the film was finally divided into 2 parts with the budget crossing Rs 500 crores.

Eventually, Indian 2 ended up as a massive disaster and was wiped out of theatres in a matter of days. This is a lesson on project planning and staying within the budget. Such incidents will continue to happen when the directors go beyond the stipulated budgets.
