‘Mega Star’ Chiranjeevi has turned 69 today. On the eve of the legend’s birthday, a grand re-release of classic actioner Indra in a remastered 4K format has been held. According to reports, the numbers have turned out to be huge.

Besides this, actors of Telugu cinema, from Mahesh Babu to Nani to Pawan Kalyan, have started pouring birthday wishes to Annayya, citing him as their inspiration. On the other hand, Allu Arjun has yet again become prey for extreme hatred, negativity, and trolls.

For those unaware, the Pushpa star attended a film’s pre-release event in Hyderabad. Speaking at the event, he made some remarkable statements about what drew him to become a hero. He even went on to defend his move of supporting a YSRCP candidate during the 2024 AP elections. Needless to say, these remarks have become controversial among Mega fans for obvious reasons.

Chiranjeevi Wields Divine Power in ‘Vishwambhara’ First Look

Chiranjeevi turns 69 today, August 22, and the makers of Vishwambhara have released his first-look poster to commemorate the occasion. Mallidi Vassishta is directing the film, in which Megastar is playing the role of Dorababu, a guy who would defend the planet from evil powers.

Chiranjeevi is portrayed as a hero in disguise. UV Creations took to its X handle to reveal the first glimpse of Chiranjeevi from Viswambhara. Chiranjeevi appears charming in the poster, holding a trident that crackles with tremendous power. Hills are lit in the background, implying the presence of an unseen divine force.RThe atmosphere appears powerful and thrilling, with thunder all around. The poster states, “When myths collide, legends rise.” Needless to say, the poster has sparked excitement among Chiranjeevi admirers. Aside from Chiranjeevi, the fantasy drama also features Kunal Kapur, Trisha Krishnan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Ashika Ranganath in major roles.
The film is being produced by Vikram, Vamsi, and Pramod under the name of UV Creations, and the megastar will appear in a larger-than-life avatar, exposing a different side of him. Trisha has been cast in a dual role. MM Keeravaani, an Oscar-winning composer, will write songs for the film. The film is set to release in theaters on January 10, 2025.

Mardaani-3 Officially Announced!

Mardaani is a franchise owned by Hindi cinema’s Yash Raj Films. Starring veteran actress Rani Mukherji in the lead role, these series of films revolve around a ruthless female cop called Shivani Shivaji Roy and her journey in solving gruesome cases.

The first installment of the franchise Mardani (2014), idrected by Pradeep Sarkar, was a hit at the box-office . Following its success, a sequel titled Mardaani 2 (2019), with Mukherjee reprising her role, was released.

Both of these films are noted for their performances, screenplay, and direction. Celebrating ten years of the original film, YRF announced that a third film in the Mardaani franchise is on the cards. Starring Rani Mukherjee in the iconic role, the film’s title is yet to be finalized.

Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja received a thunderous response from all sections after its Netflix release. The film was released in June and created a box-office storm and was one of the most awaited Netflix releases of recent times. On its release, the film did brilliantly as expected has consistently been in the trending movies for weeks.

Vijay Sethupathi’s brilliant performance and excellent word of mouth across languages have led the film to create a big record. Maharaja is now the most-viewed Indian film of this year on Netflix (18.6M Views) surpassing Crew (17.9M) & Laapataa Ladies (17.1M).

The film received massive recognition in all languages. Maharaja, which is Vijay Sethupathy’s 50th film featured a gripping screenplay along with a stunning climax that made the film work extremely well at the box office as well as on OTT. The film is still trending on top in Netflix more than a month after its release.

Lately, whenever Allu Arjun makes a public appearance or gives a speech, it turns into a big controversy. The same thing happened yesterday when he attended Rao Ramesh’s Maruthi Nagar Subhramanyam pre-release event.

Speaking about the Pushpa 2 update, the Icon Star stated that the Pushpa 2 climax is by far the most difficult one in his career and it is shaping out very well. He further added that there will be no more postponements and the film will be released on 6th December as promised and he will do movies continuously after Pushpa 2 release.

During his speech, Allu Arjun made a couple of statements that have irked Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan fans. These two statements triggered Mega fans and are now a hot topic on social media. Speaking about his movie journey, Allu Arjun said “Heros Kosam Fans Avutaru, Kaani nenu Fans kosam hero ayyanu I love my fans”. Till a few years back he always stated that Chiranjeevi is the biggest inspiration behind him becoming a hero but now, he completely ignored that fact and and said his fans are the main reason.

His second statement regarding his recent visit to Nandyal has also irked Mega fans.
“Naaku Nachite Naa friends kosam ekkadikina vasta”, he said at the pre-release event. This was a direct satire to the Mega Family and Fans as they were hurt when Allu Arjun met and supported Nandyal YCP MLA during the recently concluded AP assembly elections.

Drishyam, the Malayalam film starring Mohanlal was a big blockbuster. The film subsequently got remade into many languages in the country and became hit everywhere as well. Drishyam 2, the sequel too became a big hit on the OTT in Malayalam. Now, third part in the Drishyam series, Drishyam 3 climax portion has been locked and ready.

Director of two Drishyam films, Jeethu Joseph spoke about this in an interview. He said that he was blank then. The Director said that the had no plan of making a sequel during Drishyam. He expressed that he had the climax version of Drishyam 3 in his head already and narrated it to Mohanlal. Jeethu Joseph also said that Mohanlal liked the idea as well. But the Director is still clueless about other areas and scenes.

So, the plan of Drishyam 3 is on and alive. This will be a great news for Mohanlal fans as Drishyam is a special franshise for them. Drishyam 2 also happens to be a rare sequel which lived up to the expectations and even performed stunningly well. The team will be extra careful while making Drishyam 3 as well to match the expectations. So, let’s wait and see.
