Pooja Hegde signs Kanchana 4

Kanchana series is one of the most loved and craziest series in both Tollywood and Kollywood. Raghava Lawrence who directed films of this won many accolades for his directorial skills. The next film coming out of the series will be Kanchana 4 which was already announced. The film is ready to go on sets and it is learnt that Actress Pooja Hegde is being considered to play the female lead in the film.

The film is said to be made on a large scale budget of around 100 crores. The film is also produced by GoldMine Movies under the direction of Raghava Lawrence where he plays the lead role. Lawrence lastly worked for Chandramukhi 2 and Jigarthanda: Double X. Chandramukhi disappointed badly whereas Jigarthanda won good reception among the OTT audience. So, he will be aiming to come back strong with Kanchana 4.

Other cast and crew details of Kanchana 4 are yet to be out. Many actors from the previous films of the series will be retained. But Lawrence needs to come up with something interesting. Kanchana series is also accused of becoming routine and monotonous. So, he needs to change that perspective with Kanchana 4 or else the series may end with Kanchana 4 if the same storyline repeats.

Pushpa 2 vs Stree 2

Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor which released recently has set the box office on fire. The film quickly emerged as the winner at the box office by grossing more than 200 crores worldwide in the first weekend. The film didn’t slow down even after this and showed its great pull among the audience by putting big numbers in the coming weekends as well. The film is all set to touch the 600 crore mark in the full run and its Pushpa 2 vs Stree 2 now officially.

According to Trade Analyst, Taran Adarsh Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan made 585 crores Nett in Hindi belts in the full run becoming the No 1 grosser. Now Stree 2, as said will cross this number this weekend in Hindi Belts and set to become the No 1 grosser. The film also has all chances of touching 600 crores in the Hindi Belt region. The only film that could break this feat in the near future will only be Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun.

Pushpa enjoys a great popularity and rage among the Hindi Audience. So if Stree 2 with no star power could become the No 1 grosser in Hindi Belt, Pushpa 2 riding high with the popularity and craze of Allu Arjun in Hindi regions may very well pull off the record. But Chhava starring Vicky Kaushal is challenging Pushpa 2 with the clash which has become interesting now. So, let’s wait and see.

Jayam Ravi’s recent announcement of divorce from his wife Aarti came as a shock to everyone. The couple, who have been married for 15 years were quite open about their love for each other, and their social media handles and public appearances always evoked great love.

Shockingly, Jayam Ravi announced their divorce last week.  He said that after much thought, reflections, and discussions he had taken the difficult decision to proceed with the dissolution of his marriage with Aarthi. He also expressed that this decision was not a hasty one but stemmed from personal reasons. 

Now, this divorce announcement has taken another surprising turn with his wife Aarti stating she was not aware of this announcement and it was made without her consent.

In her statement, she mentioned that the announcement was made without her knowledge or consent. She also wrote that she had been trying to have an open dialogue with Ravi regarding their relationship, but her efforts went in vain.

96 Movie Sequel Officially Announced – Deets Inside!

Written and directed by Premkumar Chandran, 96 (2018) is a romantic drama film starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan in lead roles. Upon release, it received widespread critical acclaim with praise for the performances, music, story, and emotional depth.

The film was also a sleeper hit, grossing INR 50 crore worldwide. A Telugu remake titled ‘Jaanu’ was also made, which bombed at the box office. Premkumar’s next release will be Meiyazhagan (2024), starring Karthi in the lead role.

It is slated for a worldwide release on 27th September, thus clashing with Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part One. Amidst this, the writer-director Premkumar has revealed that a direct sequel to 96 is on cards with the script being completed. An announcement regarding the same will be out once Vijay and Trisha allocate the dates.

The GOAT – 6 Days Worldwide Collections!

In spite of the extreme negativity around it, The Greatest Of All Time is performing well in Tamil Nadu and overseas belts. Admittedly, the film is a huge disaster in Kerala, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

The GOAT minted an impressive INR 130 crore from Tamil Nadu alone, while the overseas figure stands at INR 125 crore. Overall, the Vijay-starrer has posted a worldwide gross of INR 320 crore in its six days of theatrical run.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The GOAT is already the second highest grosser of ‘Thalapathy’ after Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Tamil Industry Hit Leo (2023). Going at the same pace, the film will surely get past the INR 400 crore mark in its full run. The film’s music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Stay tuned for more updates.

Devara Trailer Faces Comparisons with Acharya

The trailer of NTR’s Devara was released yesterday and is already hitting record numbers. Devara trailer has so far hit 8.7 million + views and more than 6.7 lakh likes. These are terrific numbers and have given a great boost to NTR fans and Koratala Siva who is eager to make a strong comeback. While neutral fans have given mixed responses to the trailer, some questions have also cropped up about the movie.

With the trailer, it is clear that Tarak will be seen as a father and son in two roles. This characterization is a tried and tested formula across industries. And now it all depends on how well the story is executed.

Fans have even pointed out some eerie similarities the film has with Koratala’s previous film Acharya. Several shots and characters look quite similar to Acharya. It appears that Saif Ali Khan’s character has been written quite similar to that of Sonu Sood’s character in Acharya. Apart from this, it also looks like the friendly wrestling bout between Ram Charan and Sonu Sood has been replicated with NTR and Saif Ali Khan.

The areal shots, frames, and some fight sequences also have an Acharya hangover and this has raised some questions about the movie. Many also felt that from the Devara trailer, the movie does not look like a massive pan-India film. It looks like a regular mass Telugu film with father and son taking revenge.

While Devara trailer is doing great numbers and pre-sales are also terrific, the success now depends on NTR stardom and first-day talk. NTR surely has the box office pull to make audiences throng to theatres for even routing projects. But fans are also confident that Koratala Siva has some more tricks up his sleeve which will be revealed in theatres.

Vijay continues to pair with Senior Actresses

Tamil Actor Vijay also fondly called as Thalapathy Vijay has been roping in Senior Actresses in his films. He recently starred alongside Sneha in The GOAT and Trisha in Leo. And now, it is learnt that he has made a decision of bringing in Simran for his new and upcoming film directed by H. Vinoth. Vijay has repeated this streak by pairing up with Senior Actress like Simran again.

It is speculated that Simran is being considered for the female lead role in the film. This film will also be Vijay’s final film after which he will venture into politics officially. He will also become a full-time politician after this film. Fans expected him to come up with great stuff for his upcoming film but this will obviously be a disappointing one. It has to be seen how his fans would react to him pairing opposite Simran in his final film.

Malayalam Actress, Mamitha Baiju is also learnt to be considered for a role in the film. As The GOAT has released, Vijay will focus on completing this film as soon as possible. He will then bid farewell to films and work to compete for the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections that are scheduled in 2026. Tollywood Actor NTR and team met the press today at Mumbai for the trailer launch of much awaited film, Devara. During the interaction, NTR talked about many things and one question from the press felt very fascinating. He was asked to respond about the Director, Koratala Shiva. NTR’s reply came as a surprise and felt like he was attacking Actor Chiranjeevi indirectly.

Koratala Shiva lastly worked with Chiranjeevi for Acharya. The film became a big disaster after the release and thereby a big embarrassment for both. Chiranjeevi later participated in many interviews after the failure of Acharya and expressed his dissastifaction on Koratala Shiva indirectly. His feelings indicated that Koratala Shiva was behind the failure of Acharya. This didn’t go well then with Netizens who trolled Chiranjeevi badly for cornering Koratala Shiva for a mere failure. Netizens said that it was indeed Chiranjeevi who had changed the script in the middle and became the reason for Acharya’s failure.

Now, NTR in the press meet has backed Koratala Shiva and said that the director had to be given right space and there must be right people around him to deliver properly. These comments indirectly attack Chiranjeevi who was accused of not giving priority to Koratala Shiva during the making of Acharya. The Censor Board of Film Certification has cleared Devara: Part One with a ‘U/A’ certificate as expected. Ensuring a smooth worldwide launch, the makers have wrapped up censorship formalities over two weeks before release.

While there’s no official announcement regarding the film’s duration, sources claim that the Koratala Siva-directorial has locked a lengthy run time of 3 hours. Apparently, the film boasts heavy violence in the second half, and the song ‘Daavudi’ will be played at the very end.
