Lokesh Kanagaraj talks about Leo 2

Tamil Director, Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently busy with his upcoming film, Coolie starring Rajinikanth. The Director took part in a conversation with media reporters where he was asked about Leo 2. Lokesh Kanagaraj has also spoken about the LCU films and his other commitments.

He said that he wanted the title of Leo 2 to be Parthiban if the sequel is made. The Director also was not sure of its making since Vijay’s political commitments. Vijay made it clear that he wouldn’t be starring in films anymore after Thalapathy69. So, Lokesh Kanagaraj would have to go without a film on Leo in his LCU series. He also stated that his current film, Coolie will be a standalone film and not a part of the LCU.

Kanagaraj said that he would concentrate on bringing all the important characters from LCU for a film after Coolie. Coming to Coolie, Telugu Actor Nagarjuna recently started shooting for his character as well. His video from the film’s shoot was also leaked.

Kaithi 2 – Peak LCU Film!

Kaithi 2 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of Tamil cinema. A direct sequel to Kaithi (2019), it is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the man behind the highly-celebrated Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).

As stated by the filmmaker himself, Kaithi 2 will feature all the LCU characters introduced so far, such as Rolex, Vikram, Leo, and, of course, Dilli. In simpler terms, it is the peak film from Lokesh Cinematic Universe.

Kanagaraj also confirmed that he himself will produce the future LCU movies, beginning with Benz, a film starring Raghava Lawrence in the lead role. He went on to state that a movie focused on Rolex is on cards. The writer-director has also reiterated that Coolie is not part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe.

Martin trolled heavily after release

Kannada movie, Martin starring Dhruva Sarja released on October 11th this weekend. The film was made with heavy budget and visuals in similiarity with KGF series. However, Martin couldn’t make noise and achieved a negative talk. Martin has also been trolled heavily since its release on social media platforms.

Many netizens who saw the film uploaded scenes of the film trolling them heavily. The performance of Dhruva Sarja was also panned down completely. The film also released simulatenously in other languages but became a huge disappointment everywhere. Even the Background Music provided by renowned Music Director Ravi Basrur received bad reviews from the audience.

Martin also stands as a lesson to many filmmakers who try repeating the phenomenon of KGF in terms of making and style. This once happened with Upendra starrer Kabzaa. But Martin made it even worse now. We have to see how the makers respond to the negative response.

Aamir Khan To Join Rajinikanth’s Coolie!

Aamir Khan is all set to be part of Coolie, an action drama movie starring ‘Super Star’ Rajinikanth in the lead role. Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, it is a standolone film that is not part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).

As per the latest update, Aamir will take part in the film’s shot on Tuesday, i.e., 15th October. Coolie is the most ambitious film from Tamil cinema, which, according to trade experts, has the potential to emerge as the maiden INR 1000 crore grosser from Kollywood.

Besides Aamir, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Upendra are some veteran actors who will be seen in brief cameo appearances. Coolie’s background music and songs are composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the usual choice of Kanagaraj. Stay tuned for more updates.

ఈ మూవీలో జాన్వికపూర్ హీరోయిన్ గా నటించగా సైఫ్ ఆలీ ఖాన్ విలన్ గా కనిపించారు. యువ సుధా ఆర్ట్స్, ఎన్టీఆర్ ఆర్ట్స్ సంస్థలు నిర్మించిన ఈ మూవీ ఇప్పటికే రూ. 400 కోట్ల గ్రాస్ క్లబ్ లో చేరింది. ఇక ప్రస్తుతం బాహుబలి 1 మూవీ రికార్డు ని బ్రేక్ చేసే దిశగా దేవర సాగుతోంది. ముఖ్యంగా దేవర తెలుగు వర్షన్ వరల్డ్ వైడ్ గా రూ. 180 కోట్ల షేర్ ని చేరుకుంది.

విషయం ఏమిటంటే, నిన్నటితో ఈ మూవీ అఫీషియల్ గా రూ. 400 కోట్ల గ్రాస్ క్లబ్ లో చేరడంతో పాటు నిన్నటితో ప్రభాస్ సాహో మూవీని అధిగమించి టాలీవుడ్ లో ఈ ఫీట్ అందుకున్న ఆల్ టైం టాప్ 6వ మూవీగా నిలిచింది. మరోవైపు ఇంకా పలు సెంటర్స్ లో దేవర బాగానే కలెక్షన్ రాబడుతుండడంతో టీమ్ ఆనందం వ్యక్తం చేస్తోంది.

Devara is rocking the box office making full use of Dussehra holiday advantage. The film has already grossed 400 crores worldwide. Apart from this, Devara is now eyeing to break Baahubali 1. Baahubali 1’s Telugu version made 184 crore share worldwide and broke the previous Industry record set by Attarintiki Daredi by a double margin. Devara’s share now stands at 180 crores worldwide. It is also all set to cross Baahubali 1 by today.

Records set by Baahubali were broken by the film’s director Rajamouli himself. He did it with Baahubali 2 and again with RRR. But Salaar starring Prabhas toppled Baahubali 1 for the first time without the involvement of Rajamouli. It collected more than 200 crores share in Telugu version. This record was again broken by Prabhas himself with his recent Kalki 2898 AD. Now, Devara, as said is looking to break Baahubali 1 without the involvement of both Prabhas and Rajamouli.

Yesterday Devara witnessed massive jump and collected 3.5 crores share in Telugu States thanks to Dussehra festival advantage. The total 16 days Telugu States share is 130 crores with Worldwide share being 180 crores. It needs one more big day i.e., today which will help Devara break Baahubali 1 comfortably.

Rajamouli’s curse: 400 Cr club

Till now Rajamouli’s curse meant that hero’s next film after Rajamouli’s super-successful project failed at the Box office. But Devara has been an exception to this sentiment and NTR managed to score a blockbuster after right after working on RRR.

Devara is into its third weekend and the film is showing great hold owing to the festive season. The film has so far collected Rs 130 crores share in just Telugu states taking worldwide Telugu share to Rs 180 crores. It will soon cross Baahubali 1 and emerge as all the top 5 Tollywood movies.

Interestingly, there is another sentiment associated with Rajamouli. Right after Baahubali Prabhas scored 400 Cr film in the form of Saaho. This was majorly possible due to its success in the Hindi belt. Now after RRR, NTR has scored 400 Cr with Devara. Now the next in line is Ram Charan as a lead in Game Changer.

There is definitely a high possibility for this film to join the 400 Cr club. With Game Changer announced for Sankranti, we can certainly expect great openings, and if the talk is good, then 400 crore is quite possible.
