Without a shadow of doubt, Vikram and Suriya are undoubtedly one of the best actors in Indian cinema. They take on every kind of role and are always ready to put the efforts in acting, physical transformation, challenging characters and promotions. Unfortunately, these efforts are not translating into results.
Vikram and Suriya are not even getting 10% reward for their hard work. Vikram’s Thangalaan that released earlier this year and Suriya’s Kanguva were one of the most hyped Kollywood movies of the year. Unfortunately, the results were not upto expectations of anyone.
It has been a long time since the two stars delivered an outright blockbuster. One of the main reasons behind this is misjudgement of the scripts. Bad script selection is almost a guaranteed way to box-office failure and no amount of efforts from actors can cover up for this.
There are several other stars enjoying bigger success and greater stardom at the moment with lesser efforts compared to Vikram and Suriya. The two stars have been in Kollywood for more than two decades and its about time they take a stand and get 100% result for their hard work. The only way of achieving this is setting right combinations, selecting scripts with commercial viability under good directors and more importantly sticking to the audiences taste.
