Sarangapani Jathakam’: Teaser will drop on Nov 21st

Director Mohanakrishna Indraganti’s new movie, ‘Sarangapani Jathakam’, has a love story at its core. Budding actress Roopa Koduvayur is Priyadarshi’s partner in the movie, which will hit the screens worldwide on December 20.

On November 21, with the release of the movie’s Teaser, curtains will be raised for full-fledged promotions. As the clock strikes 11:12 in the morning, the Teaser will introduce the world of Sarangapani.

Speaking about the movie, producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad said, “Re-recording works are currently on. Our movie completed its shoot way back, in the first week of September. Dubbing is also finished.”

On the music front, a song titled ‘Sarango Saranga’ was released recently, giving a taste of what composer Vivek Sagar has crafted.

On the casting front, the Priyadarshi-Roopa duo is joined by Vennela Kishore, Viva Harsha, VK Naresh and other familiar artists. The presence of the ensemble cast, most of whom are known for their ability to tickle the funny bone with ease, is expected to be commanding. Kalki 2898 AD is one of the biggest hits of 2024. Unfortunately, this film’s collection has created some tension between the producers and distributors. There has been an ongoing dispute between Kalki 2898 AD producers and overseas distributors Prathyangira Cinemas.

The producer, Aswini Dutt is extremely unhappy with the distributors for the shares received after the film’s run. The main issue is regarding Vyjayanthi Movies reportedly receiving lower amounts from the European markets.

Aswini Dutt is demanding Rs 5.5Cr Europe share against the 3Cr share that has been claimed. So far Prathyangira Cinemas has cleared only 2Cr from the total advance stating further 1Cr is still pending from European local distributors.

Prathyangira Cinemas has even issued a clarification on the issue stating discussions are going on with local distributors through whom Kalki 2898 AD was released in Europe. Prathyangira Cinemas has assured that after these discussions, they will clear dues to the film’s producers after deducting their balance amount from recoverable advance.

Vijaynthi Films is planning to lodge a formal complaint in the Tollywood Chamber to stop the distributor’s next release until the dispute is cleared. Prathyangira Cinema’s next release is Pushpa 2 and the advance bookings have already opened and trending on a great note. It now needs to be seen how this now this issue will be resolved.

She even said that Dhanush demanded a whopping 10 crore to grant permission to use anything related to Nanum Rowdy Dhaan since he was the producer. But the question will be, Why Dhanush demanded 10 crore for the documentary?

Nayanthara and the Director of Nanum Rowdy Dhaan, Vignesh Shivan fell in love with each other during the making of the film and married each other later as well. So, the documentary needs to include this which also stands as a major point in their love story and marriage. But this was denied by Dhanush as alleged by Nayanthara.

Kollywood’s most anticipated film, Kanguva which released recently acquired a negative response from the audience. This was a big shocker to the audience and makers as well. No one expected such low quality content as alleged by the audience from the film. This prompted the makers to come up with an edited version of Kanguva in the theatres from the second day. But these changes made to Kanguva are still not helping.

People to who watched Kanguva complained of loud sound and screams coming out from many characters in the film. The BGM composed by Devi Sri Prasad was also felt too loud. The makers have realised this issue immediately and changed the sound mixing reducing the sound. Some portions during the climax fight were also added newly to this changed version. But these changes didn’t attract the audience as expected by the makers.

Kanguva grossed more than just 40 crores worldwide on the opening day shocking all. The Day 2 gross will be less than half of this indicating a futher decline. Moreover, the other released which released during Diwali, Amaran and Lucky Baskhar have still been running strong and are attracting more audience. This has also affected Kanguva which received a negative word of mouth. Trade analysts believe that Kanguva may even close below 100 crore mark worldwide. This is a big disastrous result.
