Pushpa 2: First Industry Hit For Allu Arjun?

Amongst Tollywood tier one heroes, Allu Arjun is the only one who does not have a All time industry hit. If we add the filters like Non Baahubali, Non Rajamouli then ala Vaikunthapurramulo is an industry hit, But without any filters the Icon Star is yet to open his account in this aspect.

Mahesh Babu scored Industry Hit first in these stars with Pokiri. Ram Charan was the next with Magadheera. This was followed by Pawan Kalyan with Attarintiki Daredi and Prabhas with Baahubali. NTR joined this list with RRR.

Each of the Tollywood tier 1 heroes have scored Industry Hits in Telugu excluding Allu Arjun. RRR right now holds the recorde of highest share collected in Telugu with 365 Cr share worldwide. Pushpa 2 will have to break that figure to achieve a blockbuster status as the pre release business Telugu itself more than 300 Cr.

If positive word of mouth comes in on Day 1, then Pushpa 2 has a very good chance of delivering 1st industry hit for Allu Arjun.

Baahubali 2 was the biggest opener in Australia with a gross of $825K. Now, Pushpa 2 starring Allu Arjun is set to break this record as per initial advance trends. The Advance sales of Pushpa 2 are now close to $300K for the opening day. They are also trending extraordinary in the Telugu version as well as for the Hindi Version. Pushpa 2 is expected to take an earth shattering opening in the Hindi market undoubtedly.

Australia remains a big market for Hindi films and Tamil films too have a lead there. So, with this advantage, Pushpa 2 which enjoys great hype in all these languages would definitely strike a big record there on the opening day. The Advance bookings for the opening weekend also looks excellent in Australia. The total overseas Advance sales are at $3 Million.

Pushpa 2 is also expected to gross anywhere near 1000 crores worldwide as expected by the makers. The film has all the chances to pull this record off as well. When broken, Allu Arjun becomes the only Actor after Aamir Khan, Prabhas and Shah Rukh Khan to have established such a record. The film is all set for relase on 5th December worldwide.

IAS Association request to Film Chamber

The IAS Officers’ Association has officially requested the AP Film Development Corporation top arrange the screening of films therefore in a mini-theatre built by the Association at Benz Circle, Vijayawada. They have also opined that this is purely a non-commercial event whereat the IAS Officers and their family members would only participate.

Requesting the above, they have also appealed for the screening of any new releases on every Saturday/Sunday for the officers and their families. The timings for these shows on the respective days will also be fixed by the IAS Associtaion Manger Sri Muni Babu.

The IAS Officers sometimes may find it difficult to watch films in the usual public theatres due to protocol followed which may disturb the general public. So, the Association has requested to avoid any such inconvenience for the public by having a private screening in these theatres. So, we must see how the Film Chamber would respond for their request.

The much awaited Tollywood film, Pushpa 2 is gearing up for its release on 5th December worldwide. The team of Pushpa 2 has organised many events across prominent cities to create hype in the respective areas. But the usual pre-release event hasn’t yet been conducted and it is learnt that Pushpa 2’s pre-release event has been confirmed now.

The event is said to happen in Malla Reddy College on 1st December. The 4th single of the film, Peelings is said to be launched in the same event as well. The promo of the song has already been released which has gone viral now. A new release Trailer is also planned to release in the event to raise the expectations further. This Trailer will concentrate to showcase the action range of Pushpa 2.

On the other hand, Pushpa 2 is censored with a U/A certificate containing a runtime of 200 minutes i.e., 3 hours and 20 minutes. The advanced bookings will also be opened from this weekend. Pushpa 2 is expected to take an earth shattering opening on Day 1 as well.

Actor Dhanush, through Wunderbar Films Private Limited, has filed a civil case against Nayanthara, her husband and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, and their production firm Rowdy Pictures Private Limited. The legal controversy relates to the alleged unlawful use of a three-second clip from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in the Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. Two additional parties have been listed in the complaint.


The clip in question has ignited a dispute about copyright infringement, with Dhanush claiming ownership of the material because it is his production. However, Nayanthara’s legal team has denied all wrongdoing. Rahul Dhawan, Managing Partner of Lex Chambers and legal representative for Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan, and Rowdy Pictures, indicated that their response categorically refutes Dhanush’s allegations. According to Dhawan, the footage in the docu series is not Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’s behind-the-scenes content. Instead, it comes from a personal library, removing any potential for copyright infringement accusations.


The case has now reached the Madras High Court’s legal chambers, with more proceedings expected for Monday. As the lawsuit progresses, the entertainment industry will be eagerly watching the outcome, as it might set a precedent for future issues between personal and professional archives. Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films produced the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, directed by Vignesh Shivan and starring Nayanthara, in 2015.
