Pushpa 2 starring Allu Arjun is gearing up for release on 5th December worldwide. The film’s team has also conducted many promotional events across multiple cities in the country. They are also planning premieres before the release night also holding talks with distributos to see the release size. The ticket cost discussions are happening currently. The team is planning to put a whopping ₹1000 at big stations and ₹500 in other stations for the Premiere shows.

This price looks exorbitant and it needs to be seen if this pricing works for the film. The film is also sold at very big prices in Telugu States. The involved parties are eyeing to recover the amount largely on the opening day itself to encash on the craze Pushpa 2 is currently having. The film also looks to establish an earth shattering record at the worldwide box office.

If all goes well then Pushpa 2 can surely touch the 1000 crores gross mark worldwide. This will be a great achievement then for the film and Allu Arjun as well. The pre-release event is also slated to happen tomorrow on a grand note to raise the bar of expectation for one last time before the release.

No Buyers for Pushpa 2 Special Shows

0

The much-anticipated Pushpa 2 is facing unexpected challenges with its special shows, as exhibitors struggle to attract buyers offering high prices. Traditionally, special shows of star heroes generate massive bids from fan groups, eager to showcase their hero’s dominance at the box office. However, for Pushpa 2, this trend has taken a surprising turn.

One major factor appears to be the lack of interest from Mega fans, who have historically played a crucial role in Allu Arjun’s benefit shows. The ongoing rift between Mega Family fans and Allu Arjun is reportedly the reason behind this shift. Despite Allu Arjun’s immense popularity among families and youth—who drive strong collections from the second day onward—his films have faced relative struggles in achieving record-breaking openings.

This absence of enthusiasm from Mega fans has put pressure on exhibitors and distributors to compensate. They are now planning to sell premiere tickets at significantly higher prices directly at counters. The strategy aims to maximize revenue from the anticipated high demand for Pushpa 2’s special shows, given the film’s enormous buzz and audience expectations.

However, buyers expected competitive offers for benefit shows, especially in major centers, which has not materialized. The situation poses risks, particularly in smaller centers where pricing strategies can impact footfalls. While hopes remain high for audience turnout despite increased rates, it remains to be seen how this strategy will unfold as the release date nears. The outcome of this issue will undoubtedly shape the future dynamics of special shows for Pushpa 2.

The Tamil film Maharaja is making an impressive mark in China, achieving remarkable numbers at the box office. From its premiere screenings between November 23rd and 28th, the film garnered ₹5.4 crore. On November 29th, its full-fledged release saw an opening day collection of ₹4.6 crore. Combining these figures, the movie achieved an exceptional ₹11 crore gross on its opening day.

Day 2 collections have shown an upward trend, further solidifying the film’s positive word-of-mouth (WOM). This consistent growth suggests that Maharaja is resonating with Chinese audiences, and the momentum could potentially push its total collections beyond ₹100 crore gross during its theatrical run. If it maintains this pace, the film could emerge as a major international success story.

Maharaja is setting a new standard for small-scale films, demonstrating that perfect content and a captivating screenplay can cut across linguistic and cultural boundaries. The film’s universal themes and captivating plot have gained it critical acclaim and appeal among audiences.

The film’s success testifies Tamil cinema’s expanding global appeal. By delivering a high-quality story, Maharaja demonstrates how even small productions can achieve exceptional success when the right pieces are in place. As the film continues to do incredibly well in China, all eyes are on how far it may go in the next weeks, with hopes of setting new records for Indian cinema abroad.

Matka Hits OTT Early

0

Varun Tej’s most recent film, Matka, was expected to be a game changer in his career, but it has unfortunately turned out to be a massive disappointment. Despite the buzz and great expectations, the picture failed to impress spectators, resulting in low box office revenues. This failure adds to the actor’s run of flops, making it his most serious career setback to date.

Matka’s theatrical run has been trimmed short due to poor performance, and the film will now be released on OTT early. The picture will be available on Amazon Prime Video beginning December 5th, barely three weeks after its theatrical release. While the move may entice some digital viewers, it highlights the film’s difficulty to maintain momentum in theaters.

Meanwhile, Varun Tej has already moved his emphasis to his next project, a film directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, who is recognized for creating fascinating entertainment. Varun’s camp has renewed faith that this alliance would change his destiny. However, the pressure is great, as the actor desperately needs a blockbuster to reestablish his box office credibility and regain fan trust.

For now, fans and industry watchers are looking forward to the OTT release of Matka, which could provide a second chance for the film to find its audience and offer some consolation to disappointed fans.

Pushpa2: Pre-Release Premieres

0

The much-anticipated ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is gearing up for a grand release on December 5, 2024. Initially, the makers planned to begin the celebrations with midnight shows starting from 1 AM in all major regions. However, unforeseen challenges have forced them to reconsider. Reports suggest that the Telangana government is taking steps to halt midnight screenings in Andhra Pradesh, potentially disrupting the film’s opening strategies.

Additionally, the team applied for a significant hike in ticket prices, aiming to set new records. However, the state government appears reluctant to approve these rates. While these factors might hinder the film’s opening potential, sources indicate that the makers are likely to secure permissions for standard “Devara” rights, ensuring fair pricing.

With ‘Pushpa 2’ needing a massive ₹220 crore share from the Telugu states for break even, the team is now exploring alternative plans to maintain momentum. The Puspha team is reportedly planning pre-release premieres on December 4, starting at 10 PM, as a strategy to compensate for the potential revenue loss from midnight shows. These premieres won’t be limited to the Telugu states; the makers are eyeing a nationwide rollout. High ticket prices for these pre-release events are expected to create a frenzy among fans and boost early collections.

Pushpa 2 is poised to make history, with expectations of more than ₹250 crore gross worldwide on its opening day, setting a new benchmark for Indian cinema. Fans are eagerly waiting to witness Allu Arjun’s return as Pushpa Raj in what promises to be a record-breaking release.
