New OTT streams to binge this weekend

This weekend offers many films to binge on various OTT platforms. Starting with the much awaited Amaran starring Siva Karthikeyan which became a big blockbuster grossing more than 300 crores worldwide. The film gained much appreciation and recognition in other languages as well becoming a success. Amaran will stream on Netflix.

Likewise, Matka on Amazon Prime Video, Jigra on Netflix, Kanguva on Prime Video, Narudi Brathuku Natana on Aha and Prime Video, Vettri Maaran presented Sir on Aha and Prime Video, Mandira starring Sunny Leone on Aha and Brother starring Jayam Ravi on Zee5. All these films haven’t become success interestingly. Kanguva starring Suriya became one of the biggest disasters of Kollywood as well.

The team and Makers of Kanguva have opted for an early release to cover up the loss atleast on the OTT space. But it has to be seen how the film fares on the OTT. Kanguva will stream tomorrow.

టాలీవుడ్ ఐకాన్ స్టార్ అల్లు అర్జున్ లేటెస్ట్ మూవీ పుష్ప 2 రెండు రోజుల క్రితం గ్రాండ్ గా ఆడియన్స్ ముందుకు వచ్చి ఫస్ట్ డే ప్రీమియర్స్ నుంచి మంచి సక్సెస్ టాక్ సంపాదించుకొని ప్రస్తుతం థియేటర్స్ లో కొనసాగుతుంది. అయితే ప్రీమియర్స్ ప్రదర్శన సందర్భంగా డిసెంబర్ 4న హైదరాబాద్ సంధ్య థియేటర్లో రాత్రి 9:30 సమయంలో తన కుటుంబంతో కలిసి పుష్ప 2 మూవీ చూశారు అల్లు అర్జున్. ఆ సందర్భంలో ఆ థియేటర్ చుట్టుప్రక్కల ప్రాంగణంలో భారీ స్థాయి తొక్కిసలాటైతే జరిగింది.

దానితో ఒక మహిళ మరియు ఆమె కుమారుడు మృతి చెందారు. ఆ ఘటనతో ఇకపై పెద్ద సినిమాల స్పెషల్ షోస్ ని రద్దు చేస్తున్నట్లు తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రకటించింది. కాగా ఈ దుర్ఘటనలో చనిపోయిన వారిని ఆదుకుంటామంటూ నిన్న రాత్రి అల్లు అర్జున్ ఒక వీడియోని రిలీజ్ చేసి వారికి రూ. 25 లక్షల రూపాయలు నష్టపరిహారాన్ని ప్రకటించారు. అయితే ఈ దుర్ఘటనతో తను అండ్ పుష్ప 2 టీమ్ మొత్తం చాలా బాధపడ్డామని ఆ వీడియోలో చెప్పిన అల్లు అర్జున్ ఆ ఘటనకు ఆయన బాధితులకు క్షమాపణ అయితే చెప్పలేదు.

దానితో పలువురు అల్లు అర్జున్ పై సోషల్ మీడియాలో విమర్శలు ఎక్కుపెడుతున్నారు. అయినా ఘటన జరిగి బాధితులు మరణించిన తరువాత మొక్కుబడిగా వీడియో రిలీజ్ చేసి పరిహారం అందించడం ఏమిటని, అతడిలో పశ్చాత్తాపం ఏ మాత్రం లేదని దుయ్యబడుతున్నారు. మొత్తంగా ఈ విషాద ఘటన టాలీవుడ్ మొత్తాన్ని కుదిపేసింది.

టాలీవుడ్ ఐకాన్ స్టార్ అల్లు అర్జున్ లేటెస్ట్ మూవీ పుష్ప 2 డిసెంబర్ 5న గ్రాండ్ గా భారీ స్థాయిలో అత్యధిక థియేటర్స్ లో ఆడియన్స్ ముందుకు వచ్చింది. నేషనల్ క్రష్ రష్మిక మందన్న హీరోయిన్ గా నటించిన ఈ మూవీని మైత్రి మూవీ మేకర్స్ బ్యానర్ పై నవీన్ ఎర్నేని, వై. రవిశంకర్ భారీగా నిర్మించారు. రాక్ స్టార్ దేవిశ్రీప్రసాద్ సంగీతం అందించిన ఈ మూవీలో పుష్పరాజుగా అల్లు అర్జున్ మార్వెలెస్ పెర్ఫార్మెన్స్ కి ఆడియన్స్ నీరాజనాలు పడుతున్నారు.

ఇక ఫస్ట్ డే ప్రీమియర్స్ నుంచి మంచి అందుకున్న ఈ మూవీ తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో మాత్రం ఆశించిన స్థాయి కలెక్షన్లని అందుకోలేకపోతోంది. ఇక మిగతా రాష్ట్రాల్లో అలానే ఓవర్సీస్ లో భారీగానే కలెక్షన్ అర్జిస్తోంది. నిజానికి పుష్ప 2 మూవీ చూసిన చాలా మంది సౌత్ వాళ్ళ నుంచి ఒకింత నెగిటివ్ కామెంట్స్ అయితే వినపడుతున్నాయి. సినిమాలో అల్లు అర్జున్ యాక్ట్ చేసినప్పటికీ స్క్రిప్ట్ టేకింగ్ పరంగా బాగాలేదని చాలావరకు అంశాలు స్టోరీ రిలేటెడ్ గా లేవని అంటున్నారు.

సుకుమార్ నుండి ఎంతో ఆశిస్తే ఈమూవీ నిరాశపరిచిందని పెదవి విరుస్తున్నారు. అందునా ముఖ్యంగా పుష్ప 3 కోసం క్లైమాక్స్ లో ఇచ్చిన లీడ్ ఆసక్తికరంగా లేకపోవడంతో పుష్ప టీం కూడా పార్ట్ 3 మూవీ పై ఒకింత ఆలోచనలో పడింది. ఇక ఒకరకంగా ఈ మూవీ ఆల్మోస్ట్ లేనట్టేనని సుకుమార్ కూడా దానిని విరమించుకున్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. కాగా త్వరలో ఆయన రాంచరణ్ తో RC 17 మూవీని చేయనున్నారు.

The record set by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in the overseas market stands untouched, with an incredible opening day gross of almost $11 million. While blockbusters like RRR and Pushpa 2 had impressive $8 million debuts, they fell short of the record set by Baahubali 2. The question now is whether any new movie can match this achievement.

Coolie, the highly anticipated film starring Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Rajinikanth’s unrivaled reputation in international markets, along with Lokesh Kanagaraj’s burgeoning status as a brand in Indian film, make this cooperation a strong contender.


Lokesh’s last film grossed an astounding $8 million internationally, making it Kollywood’s largest opening to date. Rajinikanth’s star power, as evidenced by his previous smash Kabali, and Lokesh’s reputation for crafting captivating tales make Coolie a highly intriguing project. However, achieving Baahubali 2’s figures would not be simple. To do this, the film’s promotional strategy must generate a great deal of buzz and expectation. Pushpa 2 is heading towards a 700 Cr weekend at the box office. The action drama starring Icon Star Allu Arjun is posting very huge numbers at the worldwide box office and now more than 50% of collections are coming from Hindi for it. It was expected to score big in the north Indian market, but no one anticipated such an outstanding box office performance from Pushpa 2.

For 2 days the movie has collected more than 400 Cr gross worldwide and today it will comfortably cross the 500 Cr mark. After Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2 is the second Indian film to cross the 500 Cr mark in 3 days. Pushpa 2 is heading towards a 700 Cr weekend at the box office. 

The sensational hold in Hindi promises that the numbers today and tomorrow will be bigger than on opening day, Even the Southern languages are expected to be bigger than the second day on today and tomorrow. Overall it’s expected to collect around 700 Cr gross for 1st weekend which is an all-time record for an Indian film.

Jaat vs Mirai vs The Raja Saab: Who’s Postponing?

Jaat vs Mirai vs The Raja Saab: An interesting competition is unfolding for the production house People Media Factory. It is widely known that pan-Indian star Prabhas is working under the direction of Maruthi for The Raja Saab. It is a big-budget film and the makers announced it will be released on April 10, 2025. Surprisingly, the same production house, People Media Factory also announced another two films during the same period.

Teja Sajja’s big-budget film Mirai was announced to be released on April 18, 2025. Also, the big-budget Bollywood film Jaat, Starring Sunny Deol, of which a teaser was released yesterday was announced for April 2025 release.

Pushpa 2 Telugu States Two days Collections

Pushpa 2 Telugu States Two days Collections are out now. The most awaited sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule had an outstanding first day at the box office and it also created an all-time record for Hindi Films’ first-day collections. However, the film saw a drop in its numbers on day 2 in Telugu states.

Overall in Telugu states, the movie in Andhra collected 5.7 Cr share,  and collected 3 Cr share in Ceeded while gathering 9.7 Cr share in Nizam on its second day. Overall Pushpa 2’s Day 2 share will be 18.4 Cr including GST. The trade expects the film to have a good weekend at the box office. 

For two days, Pushpa 2 Telugu States Two days Collections are at 89.25 Cr (share), and to achieve breakeven the movie has to collect 250 Cr share including GST. As of now, 36% recovery has been done for two days and the film needs a massive jump for today and tomorrow to reach its target.

ఇటీవల ఆవేశం సినిమాతో బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ హిట్టు కొట్టిన ఫహాద్ ఇందులో బన్వర్ సింగ్ షకావత్ పాత్రలో తన నటనతో అందర్నీ ఆకట్టుకున్నారు. ఇక పుష్ప 2 తో పాటు ఇటీవల వచ్చిన విక్రం, మామన్నన్, వేట్టయాన్ సినిమాల్లో కూడా ఆయన మంచి పాత్రలు చేశారు. వాటన్నిటికీ కూడా మంచి పేరు వచ్చింది. అయితే విషయం ఏమిటంటే పుష్ప 2 లోని ఇంటర్వెల్ ఎపిసోడ్ సీన్స్ లో ఫహాద్ పాత్రకు సంబంధించి మలయాళీల నుంచి నెగిటివ్ రెస్పాన్స్ తో పాటు విమర్శలు కూడా వస్తున్నాయి.

అలానే ఫహాద్ కూడా ఆ సీన్ షూటింగ్ సమయంలో ఒకింత ఇన్సెక్యూరిటీ ఫీల్ అయ్యారని అందుకే ఆయన పుష్ప 2 కు సంబంధించిన ఏ ఈవెంట్ కి ముఖ్యంగా కేరళ ఫ్రీ రిలీజ్ ఈవెంట్ కి కూడా హాజరు కాలేదని తెలుస్తోంది.
