Salman Khan announces Kick sequel

Salman Khan’s Kick which was an official sequel of Tollywood blockbuster Kick is set for a sequel. The Actor has announced the news officially to fans and audience excitement. Kick became a big blockbuster in Hindi raising the stardom of Salman Khan further. Producer of the Film, Sajid Nadiadwala will reprise his role again as the Producer for the sequel.

Salman Khan confirmed that the script work for the sequel is currently going on and also believed the film may gon of floors by mid 2026. Salman Khan was hosting the team of Baby John which came as guests for his show, Bigg Boss. Baby John is slated for release this Christmas and their promotional activities have yielded us an exciting news about Kick 2 interestingly.

Fun fact is Salman Khan has also played a cameo role in Baby John which was teased in the film’s Trailer. On the other hand, Salman Khan is currently working for Sikandar directed by A.R. Murugadoss co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. Sikandar is scheduled for release in 2025.

Pushpa 2 helped criminal get caught by the Police

An interesting development happened today with Police catching a criminal who was watching Pushpa 2 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The Police who got the information of the criminal watching the film and made attempt of the arrest to his surprise. This news is going viral now on social media platforms. Many also satirically quoting that Pushpa 2 helped police catch a criminal.

Pushpa 2 also deals with the rise of a sandalwood smuggler portrayed by Allu Arjun. The film became a Pan India blockbuster grossing more than 1000 crores worldwide. The arrested criminal too was attracted towards the film which is riding with high popularity and made his visit to the theatre which ended up him in jail ironically.

Coming to the film, it looks the film is all set to go beyond the 1500 crores mark worldwide. It also became the leading grosser in Hindi version beating Stree 2 recently. The upcoming Christmas and New Year periods will add more to its box office numbers surely.

Film Chamber’s donation to Revathi’s family

The Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce has come forward to support the lady who died in the premiere show of Pushpa 2, Revathi and her family. The chamber expressed its condolence for the family for the passing away of the lady and pledged to stand with her son who is receiving treatment in the hospital. The Chamber has also requested members to donate money to the Chamber Account as a humanitarian gesture.

An official press note has been released on the Chamber’s name to send out a large appeal to the Industry as well. Few celebrities have also come forward and donated amount to the family alongwith the Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy who paid a visit to the hospital himself. He also reiterated that the Government would stand by the family in every which way possible.

Allu Arjun has already donated 25 Lakhs amount to the family and a trust is also being formed by the team of Pushpa 2 to help them financially. This is really an appreciative gesture from the Film Chamber and the celebrities to endorse their help to the distressed family.

Daaku Maharaaj Trailer Details officially out

Daaku Maharaaj Trailer details are officially out. Producer Naga Vamsi, who recently scored a blockbuster with Lucky Bashkar, is all set to arrive on this Sankranthi with Daaku Maharaaj, starring Nandamuri Balkrishna and directed by Bobby.

The producer and director of the film met the press today and informed them about the promotional events of the film.  Daaku Maharaaj Trailer details are officially out. At first, on January 2nd, the trailer will be launched in Hyderabad. 

After that, a grand pre-release event of the film will take place in Dallas, USA on the evening of January 4th as per the USA local time. A song from the film too will be released during the event.

Naga Vamsi also said that another pre-release event of Daaku Maharaaj will take place in Andhra Pradesh and as of now, Vijayawada and Mangalagiri are the two options for the team to arrange the event. Daaku Maharaaj will be released in theaters worldwide on December 12, 2025.

All eyes on Dil Raju to convince the Government

Telangana Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy recently announced a shocking decision of discontinuing the permission granted for benefit shows and ticket prices hike for all upcoming films in Telangana. This naturally shocked entire film Industry. Now, everyone’s hopes are on the newly appointed Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju to convince the Government.

After the stampede incident that caused the death of a lady during the premiere shows of Pushpa 2, the Government reacted strong. A case was registered against Allu Arjun for which he was jailed as well recently. Talking about this incident yesterday in the Telangana Assembly, the CM made it clear that no film would be given any special treatment. But this affects the upcoming films especially, Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj that are slated for release during Sankranthi season next year.

Producer of Game Changer, Dil Raju will now use his bargaining power to convince the Government and the CM to allow the benefit shows and ticket hikes. Naga Vamsi today too expressed confidence of getting these permissions for his Daaku Maharaaj as well.

Upcoming film of Balakrishna directed by Bobby, Daaku Maharaaj is said to have a sensational 1st half. The team is super confident after watching the output. This is a great news for the fans and audience. The teaser of the film has also garnered stunning views justifying its hype.

The first sinle, The Rage of Daaku, however couldn’t generate the needed response. Now, the second single, Chinna is arriving tomorrow. The team alongwith the Producer, Naga Vamsi and Director Bobby conducted a brief press meet where they answered about many issues regarding the film. Naga Vamsi said that the films has comeout very well more than the previous blockbuster films of Balakrishna.

He also said that he wouldn’t mind telling that the film will be better than Bobby’s previous Blockbuster Waltair Veerayya starring Chiranjeevi. The film is slated for release on 12th January next year as a Sankranthi bonanza. Let’s wait and see how the film fares.

But somehow, Telugu audiences are not turning to theatres for Vetrimaaran’s movies, and even people who liked Vetrimaaran’s previous films are interested in watching his movies when they arrive on OTT. Vetrimaaran struggles to impress Telugu audiences.

Many Tamil films worked very well in Telugu, but Vetrimaaran’s films are not making minimum numbers at the box office. His latest film, Vidudhala 2, is doing well in Tamil markets but struggling to get the theatre rents in Telugu. We should wait and see when the director will score a success in Telugu, His next film has a good chance, as his next is with Suriya who has a good market in Telugu, and that film is a perfect chance for Vetrimaaran to create a market in Telugu.

UI Movie 1st weekend Collections

UI Movie 1st weekend Collections are out now. Kannada star actor Upendra returned to direction after a gap with his latest film, UI. The movie had an average weekend at the box office. 

In Telugu, it did not make good numbers, while in Kannada it did decently. Overall for the first weekend, the movie collected in the range of 20 Cr gross, which is a disappointing collection for the budget, and being an Upendra starrer, it was expected to collect big numbers, as it had a good pre-release hype. UI Movie 1st weekend Collections are out now.

The film satisfies a very limited section of the audience which shows its impact on collections. Now, we need to see how it will sustain on weekdays. If it fails to sustain then the film will be a big failure at the box office. The trade is hoping that UI will use the advantage of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Pushpa 2’s Hindi Version Soars Past 100 Million USD. Right from its first day, Allu Arlun’s Pushpa 2 is scoring massively in Hindi. The Hindi version is unstoppable at the box office, with recording the biggest numbers continuously. Till 22nd December the Hindi version’s all india net is more than 620 Cr and Gross will be more than 750 Cr.

Even the Overseas numbers of the Hindi version are good as it alone collected in the range of 110 Cr which takes the total worldwide gross to nearly 860 Cr. This means more than 100 Million USD. Pushpa 2’s Hindi Version Soars Past 100 Million USD

While the overall gross of the film is in the range of 1415 Cr, more than 60% contributed from the Hindi version alone. The Hindi version is on track to join the 1000 Cr club as the trade believes that the Christmas and New Year Day will provide the much-needed boost to the total collections of Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Sukumar distances himself from Allu Arjun?

Director Sukumar and Actor Allu Arjun combination is one of the most hyped up collaborations of Tollywood. The duo began their career working for their Arya and have been in the Industry for over 20 years. Out of this, both spent nearly 6 years for their Pushpa series which became a Pan India blockbuster. But, Sukumar looks to have distanced himself from Allu Arjun recently after the incident of stampede causing the death of a lady.

Allu Arjun has been jailed and still getting targeted by the Telangana Government for this episode. But Sukumar hasn’t reacted or made himself involved in this saga surprisingly. The Director has attended the pre-release event of Game Changer at a time when Allu Arjun is in complete trouble dealing with the Government. Sukumar during the Game Changer pre-release event said that Ram Charan got connected to him unlike any other.

No one understood this statement because Ram Charan had done only one film with Sukumar. He should put Allu Arjun first in this segment above all but this statement really felt shocking. It feels that Sukumar wants to give a message indirectly that he doesn’t want to be part of the ongoing controversy. He hasn’t spoken a word about his Pushpa 2 in this event which justifies this.
