Ramayana Anime releasing in the theatres

The most popular Japanese Anime based on Epic Ramayana, Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama is finally arriving in the theatres for the Indian Audience. The film will released on 24th January in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages in the 4K version. The Trailer will also arrive on YouTube in 2 days.

The film was originally planned for release on 18th October last year but got postponed aiming for a wider release. Geek Pictures India, AA Films and Excel Films will jointly distribute the film in India. Renowned Telugu Writer, V. Vijayendra Prasad is also said to have given his inputs for the dubbing versions of the film.

The film will surely attract good amount of audience with the popularity it has on the social media platforms. The Anime was a blockbuster hit when released in 1993 in Japan also earning many fans there. The Anime is also expected to repeat the same result here now.

Game Changer’s fate decides Shankar’s Velpari

Director Shankar is currently busy with his upcoming film, Game Changer slated for release on 10th January. The Director pinned high hopes on the film which would be a decider for the fate of his planned films especially Velpari, his dream project which involves huge budget.

Shankar in a recent interview said that he wants to make Velpari as a multiple-part film with huge cast and budget. But Shankar struggled in the recent times with no proper blockbuster hits. His high budgeted 2.0 became a loss venture overall for the Producers and the recent Indian 2 became even more disastrous shocking him. Now, he is coming with Game Changer made on a budget of 400-500 crores which is also a risky venture.

If Game Changer succeeds becoming a blockbuster, Shankar can proceed with not only with his Indian 3 but also with Velpari. Shankar must hope of a positive result to plan Velpari hugely or else he must finish Indian 3 and go on with a film like Game Changer again. So, let’s see what happens.

Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj unaffected by High Court decision

A petition has been filed against the ticket price hikes issued for the Sankranthi releases, Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj in AP recently. However, the High Court has pronounced the judgement limiting the ticket hikes to exist only for 10 days instead of 14 days. But there was no restriction on the ticket prices.

This definitely wouldn’t make a difference to the prospects of both films since the Sankranthi weekend ends in the stipulated 10-day period. Coming back to the regular prices later will be an advantage for both films to welcome more audiences to the theatres. The hiked ticket prices will also exist for the 10-day period which does the job for the films.

On the other hand, both films are riding high with good hype. The pre-release event of Daaku Maharaaj is set to take place on 9th January at Anantapur. Censor formalities of the films will also be finished soon.

Suriya eyes Rajinikanth’s release date

Suriya’s upcoming film, Retro which was planned for release on 10th April needs a thinking as Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly will be arriving on the same date. Official confirmation about this was also made recently by the makers. Now, with the rumors of a possible postponement of Rajinikanth’s Coolie slated for release on 1st May, Retro may occupy this release date.

Coolie which was initially planned for 1st May is speculated to have moved to Independence Day. So, Retro will be having a solo release without a clash. This date will also work big for the film which had the teaser released recently. There are no biggies for this release period with only Hit 3 starring Nani in Telugu.

Retro will definitely have a big release for this date. Suriya who tasted a bitter result with his previous film, Kanguva now looks to comeback strong with Retro. The Teaser of Retro received great applause from the audiences.

People Media Factory is known for churning out back-to-back projects in a short period. Unfortunately, the production house has faced multiple failures recently with films such as Mr Bachchan, Ramabanam, Viswam, Manamey, and Eagle.

The production house has now announced 3 projects for release this coming April. Their biggest film- The Raja Saab- was announced for April 10th, but no further updates have been shared. Some other films have also announced the same release date but the production house did not announce the postponement or any other release date which is shocking.

Their other film Teja Sajja’s Mirai is also made on a big budget and is a fantasy action adventure. This project has been announced for 18th April release. However, the team maintained silence and still hasn’t updated anything on whether the movie will be released on the announced date.

People Media Factory’s Bollywood debut with Sunny Deol’s Jaat has also been announced for April release but there is no clarity about the exact release date.

All these three films are still in shooting phase and the makers are yet to confirm the exact release date while other films are continuously locking the dates

Game Changer skips Pan-India Promotions. Ram Charan and Shankar’s Game Changer team did not do the required promotions for other languages In Telugu there was a USA event and a pre-release event in Andhra Pradesh which is enough. However, the makers did not arrange any event or even press meet in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka.

Missing a big event in Tamil Nadu will affect the film’s openings. Even in Hindi also the team does not do a big event, and the hero-heroine attended the Bigg Boss show and a small press meet which is definitely not enough for the film to take good openings. Also, the team did not give any interviews in any language which is also a big mistake made by them.

Game Changer skips Pan-India Promotions, and it will certainly impact its openings in other languages. With positive Word of mouth and Sankranthi advantage the numbers will take a turn, but creating the required buzz is also important, which the GC team failed to do.
