0

Madha Gaja Raja 8 Days Gross Collections are out, and the movie is a blockbuster. The mass entertainer directed by Sundar C has worked superbly for theatre owners in Tamil Nadu. The other Pongal/Sankranthi releases have completely failed to bring audiences to theatres. Madha Gaja Raja 8 Days Gross Collections are out, and the movie is a blockbuster

Madha Gaja Raja’s breakeven point is at 35 Cr gross in Tamil Nadu, and the film collected around 42 Cr gross in 8 days and emerged as a blockbuster. Even today, the film is posting decent collections, and it will join the 50 Cr gross club this week. The same combo is in discussions to join for another film with this success.

Vishal starrer was delayed for as long as 12 years due to production and financial issues. It was finally released on January 12, 2024, ahead of Pongal. The nostalgia factor worked well with audiences, and they loved Madha Gaja Raja, which became the first Tamil hit of 2025.

Daaku Maharaaj’s Box Office Battle

0

Daaku Maharaaj’s Box Office Battle is unexpected. Nandamuri Balakrishna came before the audience with another action drama on this Sankranthi. Directed by Bobby, the film opened very well at the box office with decent word of mouth and reviews.

So, naturally, everyone expected the film to join the 100 Cr club easily and even there were expectations to join the 100 Cr club by the first Sunday itself. However, Daaku Maharaaj settled around 74 Cr share till Sunday (January 19), and there is no chance for the film to go near 100 Cr. Observing today’s noon shows’ trend, it is likely to end up around 80 Cr share.

The main reason for this is Family audiences’ majority section preferred to watch Sankranthiki Vasthunnam due to its genre, songs, pre-release craze, and Venkatesh’s brand in families which affected Daaku massively. That is why  Daaku Maharaaj’s Box Office Battle is unexpected.

Balakrishna’s Daaku failed to win families compared to Sankranthiki Vasthunnam and it could attract only mass audiences. So, the box office potential for the film became limited. Overall final box office verdict will be decent for the film, with a few territories getting profits, and a few territories seeing minor losses.

Game Changer: A Terrible Disaster

0

Game Changer is a terrible disaster. The much-awaited film for mega fans, Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and directed by renowned filmmaker Shankar was released as the biggest film for this Sankranthi and trade expected it will bring solid numbers at the box office using the Sankranthi festival.

The film was expected to perform well for at least 10 days even if the word of mouth is average. However, after the release, everything went against the film as the other competition films received better responses and reviews. The family audiences unanimously choose Sankranthiki Vasthunnam for this Sankrnathi. Game Changer even failed to perform decently during the festival days.

For 10 days, the Telugu version share of the film is around 84 Cr which includes Hires, and GST. The theatrical rights are valued at 165 Cr and GC has been able to do 50% of the recovery and this is almost the closing share for the film. Game Changer is a terrible disaster.

In Tamil, it ended up as a huge disaster not even getting 1/3rd recovery, while in Hindi, though it opened decently, failed to continue the momentum and collected 1/2 of the valued business. Game Change ended up as a big loss venture everywhere.

He also said that they then approached a Tamil Actor who did the same. Even though Vishnu did not reveal the name of the actor, the points vishnu mentioned about the interaction with the actor indicates that Suriya is the actor.

At that time suriya committed to Karna Film in Bollywood , later it got cancelled, it’s a different story. It can be understood that Suriya is close to Mohan Babu, who also played a cameo role in his Soorarai Pottru/Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Raa. Later the team again approached Akshay Kumar with the help of Sudha Kongara and convinced him for the role.

Kannappa is made with a heavy budget and involves many actors across the Indian film industry. The film is hitting the screens on 25th April worldwide. Shankar’s Brand Shift: 2015 to 2025

0

Shankar’s Brand Shift from 2015 to 2025 is unexpected. Director Shankar has a star image like a big Telugu director in the Telugu market despite coming from the Tamil film industry. In 2015, Shankar’s I movie starring Vikram opened hugely in Telugu states, and its numbers were on par with those of tier 1 stars. Shankar’s Brand Shift from 2015 to 2025 is unexpected.

Even with the unanimous disaster word of mouth, I, the film, collected more than 50 Cr gross in Telugu states, which was a big task for our big stars to pull a disaster film with more than 50 Cr gross in Telugu states. That’s how Shankar’s brand worked at that time.

Even 2 Point 0, which had a delayed release, did well in Telugu states and collected more than 100 Cr gross. Shankar Shanmugham’s real downfall started with Indian 2, and with his latest release, Game Changer, he himself became the biggest negative for the film.

In 2015 even with disaster talk, people came to the theaters to see the film as Shankar made it. However, in 2025 despite getting better word of mouth, Game Changer, starring Ram Charan did not attract audiences to the theaters. There is a complete changeover in the brand image of the director.

Balakrishna’s Growth Stuns, 100 Cr Target Waits

0

There was a time when Balakrishna movies with poor or mixed word of mouth could manage around Rs 20 crores. Even in the case of positive talk, his films could collect around Rs 40- 50 crores. This has now become a thing of the past, and Balayya has stunned everyone with his market growth in recent times.

With Akhanda, he has started a new innings of sorts. After Akhanda, he delivered Veera Simha Reddy, Bhagavanth Kesari, and now Daaku Maharaaj. All four of these films were box office hits and collected more than 70 Cr shares and 100 Cr gross worldwide. Unfortunately, they fell just short of the 100 Cr share club for various external reasons.

Akhanda– Akhanda was affected by lower ticket prices domestically and the Corona scare overseas. If Akhanda had released with current ticket prices it would have achieved more than 100 Cr share easily. This Boyapati film brought a huge number of audiences to theatres from all sections.

Veera Simha Reddy– Veera Simha Reddy was released with huge hype but the content catered only to mass audiences and failed to satisfy all sections. For this reason, this Gopichand Malineni film also could not cross 100 Cr club.

Bhagavanth Kesari: Bhagavanth Kesari somehow failed to create initial buzz. The opening was average and on top of that, CBN’s arrest also affected the film. The film brought a family audience and failed to capture the masses as it happened with Veera Simha Reddy.

Daaku Maharaaj: Now Daaku Maharaaj has also failed to satisfy all sections of the audience, A vast majority of family audiences are prefering only Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. This has led to the movie falling short of 100 Cr.

Balakrishna’s market improved a lot and his last four films have done a solid business and emerged as box office hits. But the 100 Cr club is still awaiting. There are high expectations for his next film- Akhanda 2. Since it marks the return of Balayya-Boyapati combo, this film has the best chance of hitting the 100 crore share mark which Akhanda missed due to ticket pricing issues and Corona.

Mega Fans Turn Up the Pressure on Buchi Babu

0

After Game Changer’s poor box office performance, Mega fans are now more interested in Ram Charan’s next movie, which is directed by Buchi Babu Sana. In an attempt to move over the Game Changer letdown, fans are pushing on social media for the team to release a teaser on March 27, Ram Charan’s birthday. Fans want their favorite celebrity to make a big return, and they are calling for the movie to be released this year.

This untitled project, touted as a pan-India venture, began production in late 2024 and has already generated significant buzz. With A.R. Buzz On Leo Sequel

0

Actor Vijay who entered politics, announced his decision to step away from films, after his current project, ‘Thalapathy 69’, slated to wrap up by March. However, rumors have started circulating among Tamil cinema fans about a potential sequel to his blockbuster hit ‘Leo’. While the speculation has sparked excitement, there are several reasons to believe this might not materialize.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who helmed ‘Leo’, is currently busy with ‘Coolie’ and has already committed to two major projects: ‘Kaithi 2’ and a highly-anticipated collaboration with Bollywood star Aamir Khan. Fitting in ‘Leo 2’ amidst such a packed schedule would be a monumental challenge. Additionally, with Vijay gearing up for the upcoming elections, dedicating another six months to a film seems unlikely.

Despite these practical hurdles, Vijay’s fans are hopeful. They believe ‘Leo 2’ would serve as the perfect farewell project for the superstar, especially considering the immense success of its predecessor. With a worldwide gross of ₹600 crore, ‘Leo’ has set a high benchmark, and a sequel would undoubtedly carry even greater anticipation and box-office potential.

While there is no official confirmation about ‘Leo 2’, the mere possibility has kept fans buzzing. For now, all eyes remain on Vijay’s final bow in ‘Thalapathy 69’, as audiences eagerly await the superstar’s next move.
