కథ : 

తెలంగాణలో జెసిబి ఆపరేటర్ అయిన చంటి (రచ్చ రవి) కథతో ఈ మూవీ ప్రారంభం అవుతుంది. గుప్తనిధుల మీద నమ్మకంతో తవ్వగా అతడికి బంగారు విగ్రహం దొరకడం జరుగుతుంది. అనంతరం దానితో రెండు జేసీబీలు కొనుగోలు చేస్తాడు. 

అయితే అనంతరం కొన్ని ఊహంచని పరిణామాల ద్వారా అతడి వద్ద ఉన్న బంగారు విగ్రహాన్ని ఎవరో దొంగతనం చేస్తారు. మరోవైపు పత్తి రైతు అయిన మల్లయ్య (బ్రహ్మాజీ), అతడి తండ్రి రాజయ్య (సుధాకర్ రెడ్డి), భార్య సరోజ (ఆమని)మరియు పిల్లలతో ఆర్ధిక ఇబ్బందులతో సతమతం అవుతుంటాడు. అయితే కథనం కొంత సాగిన అనంతరం చంటి వద్ద మిస్ అయిన బంగారు విగ్రహ నిధి కోసం పన్నిన పథకం మనకి తెలుస్తుంది. కాగా మిగతా కథ అంతా ఎలా సాగింది అనేది తెరపై చూడాల్సిందే. 

నటీనటుల పెర్ఫార్మన్స్ : 

ముందుగా పత్తి రైతుగా ఆర్ధిక సమస్యలతో సతమతం అయ్యే రైతు మల్లయ్య పాత్రలో బ్రహ్మాజీ తన అద్భుత నటనతో ఆకట్టుకున్నారు. అలానే ఆయన భార్య సరోజ గా ఆమనీ, తో పాటు యువ నటుడు మణి, నటి ధన్య బాలకృష్ణ అందరూ కూడా తమ పెర్ఫార్మన్స్ లతో ఆకట్టుకున్నారు. 

కీలక పాత్రధారి సుధాకర్ రెడ్డి బలగం అనంతరం ఇందులో కూడా అలరించారు. ఆయన కామెడీ టైమింగ్ ఎంతో బాగుంది. ఇక శ్రీనివాస్ అవసరాల కూడా తన పాత్ర యొక్క పరిధి మేరకు ఆకట్టుకున్నారు. చిన్న పాత్ర అయినప్పటికీ కూడా రచ్చ రవి పెర్ఫార్మన్స్ కూడా బాగుంది.

తెలంగాణ రూరల్ ఫ్యామిలీ యాక్షన్ డ్రామాగా రూపొందిన ఈ మూవీలో సస్పెన్స్ తో పాటు ఎమోషనల్ అంశాలు ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి. ఈ మూవీ యొక్క కథనం ఆసక్తికరంగా ప్రారంభం అవుతుంది. కథలో నిజాయితీ, పాత్రధారుల యొక్క హృద్యమైన పెర్ఫార్మన్స్ సినిమాలో బాగా కలిసి వచ్చే అంశాలు. ఇక దర్శకుడు దయాకర్ రెడ్డి ఈ మూవీని కామెడీ, సస్పెన్స్ తో పాటు ఆకట్టుకునే అంశాలతో జాగ్రత్తగా ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లిన విధానం బాగుంది. 

ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్ తో పోలిస్తే సెకండ్ హాఫ్ లో వచ్చే ఎమోషనల్ సీన్స్ బాగా కుదిరాయి. అయితే ఓవరాల్ గా ఈ మూవీ యొక్క పాయింట్ ప్రకారం ఒక కుటుంబం మొత్తం కూడా ఒక మర్డర్ కి ప్లాన్ చేయడం అనే అంశం చుట్టూ సాగె ఈ కథకి మరింత క్లియర్ నెరేషన్ అవసరం. చాలావరకు అంతా ఊహాజనితంగానే సాగుతుంది. నటుడు మణి ఎగుర్ల రొమాంటిక్ ట్రాక్ ఆకట్టుకోదు.

Ramam Raghavam is the debut of comedian Dhanraj as a director. Made as an emotional drama between a father and son, the film stars Samuthirakani in one of the lead roles. The movie has been released in theaters today. Let’s check out how the directorial debut of Dhanraj has turned out.

Story:

Dasaradh Ram (Samuthirakani), a government employee, ensures that his son, Raghava (Dhanraj), receives the best possible upbringing. Following the end of his studies, Raghava selects a poor route, continually generating difficulties for both himself and his family. As he creates more problems, his father’s frustration grows, ultimately resulting in Raghava being kicked out of the house. In an unexpected development, Raghava’s fury leads him to make a shocking choice about his future. What circumstances influenced this drastic action? Did he complete the task? From there, the narrative develops further.

Performances:

Samuthirakani excels in his role, adding emotional depth to the film. His representation of a devoted yet vulnerable father is impressive. Not only does Dhanraj direct effectively, but he also performs well. Nevertheless, one might think that a more veteran lead actor could have taken the film and character to greater heights. As the mother, Pramodini shines in her role, while Satya brings in some comedic relief. Harish Utthaman is fine, while Sunil’s character is insignificant.

Analysis:

Dhanraj Koranani, who transitioned from comedy to directing, has written and directed Ramam Raghavam. At first, the movie seems like just another father-son tale. As soon as Dhanraj presents the main conflict, the story takes an intriguing twist. The first half solely concentrates on family drama, with several dramatic and predictable moments which hint about a possible change in the lead character.

Yet, this character reveals an unanticipated downward shift, which keeps viewers wondering about his motives right up to the finale. This theme of the son’s resentment towards his father is not a regular theme in Telugu Cinema 

Despite that, the film contains a significant flaw. Director Dhanraj should have delved deeper into the son’s deviation from the right path and the shortcomings in his upbringing. Despite having ample time, he does not establish or justify the enmity of son towards the father and jumps straight to the conflict. 

Because of this, one connects to the father’s anguish somehow, but the explanation for the son’s radical shift does not come across effectively. The emotional struggle between father and son feels insufficiently explored. This is the reason the climax does not achieve the desired impact.

Though the performances and a few well-built scenes act as positives to the film, the film fails to capitalise on the intriguing idea and ends up as a below par watch.

Bapu is the latest rural family drama starring Brahmaji, Balagam Sudhakar Reddy, and Aamani in the lead roles. Made against the Telangana Backdrop, the film hit the theaters today.

Story:

Set in a Telangana village, Baapu’s narrative follows Chanti (Racha Ravi), a JCB operator convinced of hidden treasures, who dreams of securing his future by acquiring two JCBs using the gold idol he unearthed. In an unexpected turn of events, someone steals the goddess idol from him. In contrast, Mallayya (Brahmaji) struggles financially as a cotton farmer, living in debt alongside his father Rajayya (Sudhakar Reddy), wife Saroja (Aamani), and their kids. As the narrative progresses, we discover the fate of the missing gold idol and the surprising scheme that Mallayya’s family devises to gain money.

Performances:

Brahmaji delivers an impressive performance in Baapu, showcasing a stark difference from his recent roles. He effectively conveyed the essential nature of the character. Aamani shows her expertise in performance. Dhanya Balakrishna, and Mani Aegurla deliver fine performances. Another key attraction of Baapu is Sudhakar Reddy, famous for his character in Balagam. He captivates audiences with his funny comedic timing. Srinivas Avasarala suits his character nicely, although the part is limited. Racha Ravi put on a commendable show.

Analysis:

Baapu’s narrative takes place in rural Telangana, featuring an intriguing mix of suspense and heartfelt emotions. The narrative begins with a gripping concept and progresses seamlessly with a satisfactory execution. With an imaginative idea and a moving conclusion, the director showcases his honesty. The key message of Baapu emphasizes that we cannot attain what isn’t meant for us or what we don’t merit. Dayakar Reddy, the director, tried to infuse it with well-executed suspenseful moments and humor and emotional depth, which worked at several places. 

While the emotional scenes in the second half succeed, the first half falls short of expectations. The central storyline involving the family planning a shocking murder attempt needed a perfect justification or explanation. The sluggish and predictable moments, which often seem contrived, lessen the overall experience. The romantic plot containing Mani Aegurla lacks authenticity.

Return of the Dragon (Dragon) is the latest coming-of-age comedy drama film written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, from a story he co-wrote with Pradeep Ranganathan, and produced by AGS Entertainment. The film had a good pre-release craze which resulted in good advance bookings, and let’s see whether the film impressed audiences.

Story:

Raghavan aka Dragon (Pradeep Ranganath) is a college dropout who did not pass 48 subjects. His girlfriend Keerthy (Anupama Parameswaran) leaves him for good. In order to get back at others, he employs forged certificates to attain a good job and settle in life. Right when he is ready to find stability in life alongside Pallavi (Kayadu Lohar), his principal returns and throws down a challenge. What challenge does the principal present to Dragon? What approaches did Dragon take to win the challenge? Forms the basic story of the film.

Performances:

In the lead role, Pradeep Ranganathan delivers a convincing performance. His amusing reactions during funny scenes cause uproarious laughter. The principal character aligns perfectly with Mysskin, who brings the required intensity. Anupama Parameshwaran along with Kayadu Lohar shines, as Mariam George asserts his presence.
