Producer Walks Out of Atlee – Allu Arjun Movie

Atlee- Allu Arjun movie has become one of the most anticipated movie of Indian cinema. The film has been in news for its crazy combination and blockbuster casting. However, despite such massive buzz, the film has hit a roadblock quite early on in its journey.

Combination wise, this is a gigantic one as Atlee delivered a 1000 Cr film with Jawan and Allu Arjun delivered 1650 Cr grosser with Pushpa 2. For this collaboration producers should ideally have been in a rat race. However, the combo is facing to lock a producer due to massive budget quoted by Atlee.

Atlee signed his next film with Sun Pictures long back. As a production house, Sun Pictures are very practical about movie planning and budgets. Atlee first tried to rope in Allu Arjun and then moved to Salman Khan and again back to Allu Arjun. Just as the casting was finalised, the budget negotiations with Sun Pictures did not work and they have now exited the project.

Now negotiations are on with Dil Raju but we are not certain if he would take this up as he recently faced a massive failure with Game Changer. Atlee – Allu Arjun film’s budget is estimated to be more than 600 Cr budget. The main reason for this is Atlee demanding 100 Cr remuneration and Allu Arjun would demand more than 200 Cr.

Pan- India market is a tricky one and one can’t be sure about what would work. We recently saw many massive combos which failed to deliver big numbers at the box-office. On top of that, the OTT market is also in decline and satellite has completely gone low.

To satisfy these budgets, the film must collect a 700 Cr – 800 Cr gross at minimum so there will be a lot of risk involved.

Due to recent bad experiences producers do not want to go onto sets with just combination. With huge risk involved, calculations have become very important. Adding to this, in case of pan-India biggies, film’s estimated budget will be way different than final budget and Atlee is one among those who never compromises on quality and always wants every shot in the grandest manner.

It needs to be seen how this project finally works out. The plan is to announce the film on Bunny’s birthday on April 8th and in this mean time all these negotiations needs to be happen. Allu Arjun is very interested to do this film with Atlee and has even put Trivikram on hold for this film.

It is widely known that the Telangana government has announced it will confer the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards for the last year. These awards will be presented by the government every year on the occasion of the Ugadi festival. In this context, Telugu producer and Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) chairman Dil Raju held a press meet today regarding the modalities of the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards.

The renowned producer said that special awards will be given in the names of Paidi Jayaraj and Kantha Rao. Also, Urdu films will also be given priority in the awards, and a new award of Best Urdu Film will start from this year. Dil Raju held a press meet today regarding the modalities of the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards and requested the media and everyone to encourage the government and TFDC.

He announced that the Gaddar Award will be given for a film every year between 2014 and 2023 and revealed that there will be a grand awards ceremony in April. During the press meet, the journalists tried to ask some controversial questions, but Dil Raju requested that they not spread any negativity or controversies regarding the awards.

Gaddar awards will be presented to selected films in the categories of feature film, national integration film, children’s film, environment, and historical wealth. Apart from this, awards will also be presented in the categories of first feature film, animated film, social effect film, documentary film, and short film.

Even though Bunny is planning to start Trivikram’s film this year-end, in reality, it will take until 2026 to start the film. To finish the film with all the works, it will easily go to the end of 2027. So Trivikram fans need to wait at least 2 years from now to see his film.

There are chances that the Trivikram-Allu Arjun film can go for a 2028 release also, as it is a very high-budget film and needs a lot of VFX work. It is the 1st historical film for Trivikram, so things will take more time than expected.
