This is the biggest weekend in Ajith Kumar’s career, and Adhik Ravichandran’s directorial also beats his previous film Vidaamuyarchi’s final collections in 4 days. Today will also be a big day for the film because of Tamil Nadu [Tamil New Year], and the advances are very good. Certainly, it will have another big day at the box office today.

The film for sure will become the 1st 250Cr+ grosser for Ajith at this trend, and whether it will achieve the next milestones will depend on how the movie holds for tomorrow.

Summer Season is usually the best season for any film Industry. Tollywood always used this season to produce many blockbusters in the past. But, surprisingly, it is now struggling to recover the theatre rents to say the least. There have been back to back bad weekends for the Film Industry.

This weekend, Tollywood has Jack and Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi releases. But, these didn’t attract the audiences as expected. Both films had a negligible opening at the box office and are heading towards disaster status. Other Kollywood biggie, Good Bad Ugly starring Ajith too didn’t get proper openings despite being produced by Tollywood Production House, Mythri Movie Makers.

But, hopefully, the next weekend may bring some joy to the theatre owners with the releases of Odela 2 and Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi. Kannappa starring Manchu Vishnu was also postponed from April 25th. So, Odela 2 and Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi will have very good opportunities to post good numbers.
