0

Finally, the wait of Prabhas fans is going to end. It is widely known that the Baahubali actor joined director Maruthi for a horror comedy film, The Raja Saab. The film has been in the shooting stage for a long time. Director Maruthi drops the much-awaited The Raja Saab update.

The Raja Saab is the next theatrical release of Prabhas. The film’s major portion of shooting is completed, while the songs shoot is pending. The team does not want to compromise on the film’s output, and that is why it opted for a big budget for high visuals.

Also, they reshot some scenes to get the required high quality. Because of all this, the film is on sets for a long time. Lately, director Maruthi gave the much-awaited The Raja Saab update. The filmmaker indirectly said that the film’s official update will be given in mid-May.

There were reports that a teaser with a release date was all set to arrive, but the producers of The Raja Saab did not make any official announcement until now. Maruthi is said to have locked the teaser and indicated that the teaser will be out officially in mid-May.

All Eyes on HIT 3 to Revive Dull Box Office

0

The Telugu theater owners and industry are facing a very tough time this April, as not even a single film is working at the box office. This week’s releases are also not carrying much buzz, and they are very small films. Now all eyes are on Nani’s HIT 3 to revive the dull box office.

Theater Owners and Industry Look Forward to HIT 3

The theater owners and industry people hope that Nani turns the tables with his crime/action drama. With films like Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Kingdom having more chances for postponement, Nani’s film stands as the only biggie in May.

HIT-3 is carrying a good buzz, and the Telugu states rights are sold at more than 30 Cr, while the worldwide figure is close to 45 Cr. The film needs to open with good WOM and also has to see a good run for at least two weeks for the theaters’ revival.

Can HIT 3 Revive the Dull Box Office?

That is why all eyes are on HIT 3 to revive the dull box office. On the same day, Suriya’s Retro is also releasing in theaters, and everyone is hoping for both films to succeed, which could avail good occupancies in theaters.

Normally, from mid-April, theater owners expected a good season, but the postponement of big films like Kannappa, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, and Kingdom, and the failures of other films like Odela 2 and Arjun Son of Vyjayanthi have put them in a difficult situation. Let us hope that Nani’s HIT 3 will provide some sort of relief for the theater owners in the Telugu states.

Petta and Good Bad Ugly Satisfy Fans but Miss Full Box Office Potential

0

Fanboys as directors always show their best levels and bring back the vintage presence of star heroes on the screen. Petta is a fan service movie made by Karthik Subbaraj for Rajini, and director Adhik Ravichandran also did the same for Ajith with GBU. However, Petta and Good Bad Ugly movies were able to satisfy fans but missed their full box office potential.

Karthik Subbaraj, the biggest admirer of Rajinikanth, made a film, Petta, which pleased the fans in a very big way, and fans celebrated the film massively. But if we look at the box office, the film did well, but it is not a record-breaking hit like Jailer. Petta did around 225 Cr gross worldwide, which is not the full potential of Rajinikanth.

Good Bad Ugly and Petta Satisfy Fans but Mixx Full Box Office Potential

The same can be said of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. The fanboy Adhik Ravichandran showed Ajith with the best looks and presence, and fans have celebrated the film, and it has collected 230Cr+ gross worldwide till now. Even though it became Ajith’s biggest grosser, the film failed to show his full box office potential.

So, Petta and Good Bad Ugly movies were able to satisfy fans but missed their full box office potential. The main reason is that both films work massively for fans, but for neutrals, both films are, at most, average, and content-wise, they felt they could have been much better.

If we look at some other fanboys, Lokesh Kangaraj gave Kamal Haasan a grand comeback with Vikram, which broke most of the box office records for Tamil cinema at that time. Atlee also scored big blockbusters with Theri, Mersal, and Bigil and took Thalapathy Vijay to the next level.

The Last Possible Best Date for Hari Hara Veera Mallu : May-End

0

Hari Hara Veera Mallu is one of the biggest budget films in Tollywood, and it is also the biggest budget film in Pawan Kalyan’s career, along with being the first straight film from him after many years. The film faced numerous postponements, and looking at the current situation, the last possible best date for Hari Hara Veera Mallu is May-end.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Numerous Postponements

For many reasons, the film kept postponing, and even on its last announced date, 9th May, the film is not arriving. The last and best possible release date for Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu is the end of May.

Because there is a buzz that Vijay Devarakonda’s Kingdom has a chance of getting postponed from May 30th, HHVM may take that spot. Also, there are no major releases in other languages on that weekend, too.

May end is the best possible release date for Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu

Also, if we observe, the schools and colleges will start in mid-June as the holiday period ends. So Hari Hara Veera Mallu can enjoy a 2-week holiday period for a good run if it releases on May 30, and Bakrid falls on June 6, which will provide a huge advantage on the 2nd weekend.

Observing all these reasons and calculations, the end of May seems the best date for AM Ratanm’s big-budget film, and if it misses this date, the team has to look for a mid-June release, which is considerably not as good a date compared to the end of May.

Continuous Notable/Big Releases from June: Hari Hara Veera Mallu Cannot Miss May End

Moreover, from the end of June, there are continuous biggies in Telugu, and Hara Veera Mallu can not take any good date during that period, and one main thing is the film’s digital rights were bought by Prime Video for a huge rice and as per their agreement, the movie must release before other big films, or else the streaming giant will cancel the agreement, which again can create a tough situation for the producers.

Pawan Kalyan needs to allot dates for HHVM before the first week of May to complete it. Then the team can aim for an end-of-May release that will be the last good chance for the film to get good collections at the box office.

Ranbir Kapoor Film Postponement: A Major Advantage for Yash and Ram Charan

0

Love and War is a crazy project because of its star-studded combination. This love action drama is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. Ranbir Kapoor’s Love and War was supposed to arrive in theaters in March 2026, but the latest news of its postponement turns into a major advantage for Yash and Ram Charan.

The film is being made on a very grand scale with big war sequences, and it was initially planned to be released this Christmas, but later it was moved to March 20, 2026. However, due to delays in shooting schedules because of the big scale, the film is said to be pushed to the 2nd half of 2026.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Love and War Postponed from March 2026

This is great news for Yash and Ram Charan, because both their films are aiming very big in Bollywood markets and are set to be released at the same time. Toxic was announced for 19th March 2026, while Peddi was announced for 27th March 2026.

Yash’s Toxic and Ram Charan’s Peddi can score big in Hindi because of Ranbir Kapoor’s Love and War postponement

So, if Love and War releases on 20th March 2026, Toxic and Peddi will face a big impact in Hindi. Ranbir Kapoor’s Love and War’ postponement becomes a major advantage for Yash and Ram Charan.

Now these two films can expect a big release and big numbers in the North Indian market. For any pan-Indian film, more than the regional language, it needs to see big success in Hindi to succeed.

Nani reacts to Peddi Vs The Paradise clash

0

The much-awaited films of Tollywood, Peddi starring Ram Charan and The Paradise starring Nani, are set for a clash. Both films are being made with a lavish budget, and the expectations are huge for the films. Now, Nani has reacted to this much talked about clash.

The Actor said that both films are under the shoot and the release dates haven’t been fixed. But he also predicted that the clash may help both the films, hoping big on the Summer season. So, it can be understood that the clash will certainly take place at the end of March next year.

The Glimpse of Peddi and The Paradise created ripples on social media platforms. Peddi garnered more than 30 million in 2 weeks whereas The Paradise garnered more than 20 million views in 1 Month. Peddi is a rustic, sports drama directed Buchi Babu Sana and The Paradise also deals with a raw drama backdrop. Both films are likely to become big blockbusters, going by their making span.

The shoot of Jana Nayagan starring Vijay is currently underway. The film is also going to be Vijay’s last outing as he decided to concentrate fully on politics. The film has also been announced for release for the Sankranthi season in 2026. The Theatrical business of the film is said to have happened at a record level price.

The overseas rights of the film are sold for 78 crores and the digital rights of the film are sold at 121 crores. Tamil Nadu’s theatrical rights are sold at 90 crores and to achieve this breakeven mark, the film has to collect 200 crores gross collection from Tamil Nadu itself. Vijay’s previous films, Leo and The GOAT both collected more than 200 crores gross in Tamil Nadu. So, this will not be a major task for Vijay if the film gets a positive word of mouth.

With the overseas, Tamil Nadu Theatricals rights and digital rights, the film has fetched 290 crores. Jana Nayagan will do good business in Kerala, Karnataka, Telugu States and North Indian as well. With this and the satellite business all put together the film can easily pull off a business of more than 400 crores.

Triple Treat for Telugu Fans: 3 Films Dropping on OTT This Weekend

0

This weekend is going to be awesome for Telugu cinema fans with a triple treat. Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan, Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran, and MAD Square are dropping for streaming. There could be no other happy news for the OTT viewers, as 3 films are dropping on OTT this weekend.

L2: Empuraan – Veera Dheera Sooran on OTT from this Thursday

Empuraan, starring Mohanlal, is the highest-grossing Malayalam film at over Rs. 260 crores. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s political action drama got mixed reviews, but the pre-release buzz and sequel factor boosted its box office success.

Empuraan will be streamed on Hotstar in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada from April 24. Controversy during its theatrical run has heightened interest as everyone is waiting to see whether the uncut version will be available in the digital release.

Chiyaan Vikram led Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, which received good reviews, but it could not turn those responses into a good box office result. Starring SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Dushara Vijayan in the key roles, this Arun Kumar directorial will be available on Prime Video from April 24.

MAD Square on OTT from April 25

As said above, 3 films are dropping on OTT this weekend, and one of them is Empuraan, and the other one is Veera Dheera Sooran. The last one is our Telugu movie, the comedy sequel MAD Square. MAD Square had a decent response upon its theatrical release, and though it became a big hit at the box office, it did not continue the momentum after a big first weekend. The film will be available on Netflix from April 25.

0

This April is having a struggling phase with continuous failures. This weekend, two straight Telugu films and the latest Malayalam dub film are getting released in theaters. Here are the details about the April releases from 25–27.

Tamannaah’s Odela 2 and Kalyan Ram-Vijayashanthi’s Arjun Son Of Vyjayanthi failed to work well, much to the dismay of the theater owners in the Telugu states. Now the theaters are hoping that April releases from April 25–27 will save the day.

This Weekend’s Releases:

  • Sarangapani Jathakam—UA—135 Minutes
  • Chaurya Paatham—UA—124 Minutes
  • Gymkhana—UA—140 Minutes

These three movies are releasing in theaters on 25th April. Sarangapani Jathakam stars Priyadarshi and is directed by Indraganti Mohan Krishna. Along with the above-mentioned movies, Bharat Ane Nenu is also getting re-released on Saturday, 26th April, and there is a buzz that NTR’s Ashok is also getting re-released this weekend.

Nani’s Contrast Opinion About Film Reviews

0

In recent times, Telugu producers started bashing film reviews, mainly about their movies; people continued to attack reviewers and stated that reviews are killing the films. But they are not able to understand the reality that movies did not work for critics as well as audiences. However, Nani has a contrasting opinion about film reviews.

Whenever a film receives mixed and bad reviews, the producers just attack the critics during the press meet and say that reviews are killing the films, but many movies that had bad reviews have not done well at the box office. Which means audiences also have the same opinion as the reviewers, and that is why they rejected those movies.

Telugu Producers Attack Reviews

A few days ago, producer Naga Vamsi stated a fair point: that websites/reviews should not try to force the box office result by citing their verdict/opinion. A section of the media tried to justify their review even when that film worked well at the box office.

Because some films, even though they receive mixed or bad reviews, perform well at the box office, which means there is definitely a difference between the audience’s opinion and the reviewers’ opinion. So, reviewers or websites need to understand this point, and they should not try to justify their reviews even when a film performs well at the theaters.

However, most of the producers just try to attack reviews just like that. For many films, even with disastrous content, the producers blame the reviewers, which is certainly not a fair thing to do, and it is not acceptable.

In Contrast to the Producers’ Opinion, Nani Supports Reviews

While a section of the Telugu cinema industry is fighting against early reviews or day 1 reviews, Nani has given a very realistic statement about the same during HIT 3’s promotional interview.

Nani has a contrasting opinion about film reviews, and he said that in this age, it is not possible to stop reviews on the first day or people giving their opinion about movies. He said that everyone will have their own opinion, but he also stated that there should be a difference between a common man’s opinion and a reviewer’s.

The actor said that a reviewer should not give a judgment on the film’s box office result, and they should just state if they liked it or not.
