Devara boosts Viswam and Vettaiyan

0

Viswam starring Gopichand and Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth released this weekend. Both films achieved an average word of mouth and reviews and didn’t open big at the box office. But both these films witnessed better occupancies and shows registering housefulls. Devara stands as the main reason behind audiences watching these two films. Devara with its long run has been boosting both Viswam and Vettaiyan.

Devara already had a good run and is still continuing in some theatres. People who wanted to watch Devara had to go for other films with Devara having only limited numbers of screens. Devara is registering big matinees in every theatre in Telugu States today thanks to the holiday advantage of Dussehra. These overflows have come as a great opportunity for both Viswam and Vettaiyan.

This phenomenon is expected to continue for tomorrow as well due to Sunday effect. The other releases, Janaka Ayithe Ganaka and Maa Nanna Super Hero didn’t make it big having lower occupancies and not so encourage talk.

Upcoming Film’s wasted Dasara

0

With Game Changer’s official release date announcement done through a poster on Dasara, we will witness 3 big Tollywood films for the upcoming Sankranti. This includes Game Changer, NBK 109 and Venkatesh-Anil Ravipudi film.

So it means all three are just 3 months away from their release. Dasara is a big festival and some big promotional content was expected from these films. So far, no video content has been released from either of these three films.

The same is true with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 where no video or promotional content has been released. Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel is planned for December or Sankranti release; there was no update on Dasara. Nithiin’s Robinhood also saw just a poster release.

Apart from these, many films like Mad Square, Lucky Bhaskar, and other upcoming December and January releases failed to capitalise on the Dasara festival and didn’t release any exciting updates for the day.

Box office fakes: Unnecessary headache

0

Earlier when a hit becomes a hit, only its run period in theatres was considered. But now its success is measured with the box office stamina.

This is not related to any particular movie or person. All producers and heroes’ films, including top heroes’ films, are releasing box office collections with exaggerated numbers, which brings unnecessary headaches and offers no real advantage. No audience will go to theaters just by seeing collection posters. If they are interested and word of mouth is positive, only then will audiences go to theaters.

Producers continuously claim that they exaggerated the numbers for publicity, but this only generates negative publicity for the film. By exaggerating the numbers, they are directly damaging the hero’s reputation. It’s unclear how heroes are allowing this to happen. Additionally, in press meets and other interactions, they face questions about these fake posters, putting them in a situation where they can neither claim the numbers are genuine nor admit they are exaggerated. They are putting themselves in difficult situations.

If the industry wants to reveal collections, revealing the exact numbers would benefit everyone—buyers, audiences, and even the heroes, who need to stay grounded in reality. If they don’t want to announce collections, then there’s no need to release posters at all.

0

The first promotional content from the fantasy adventure Vishwambhara, a teaser, has finally come out today on the eve of Dusshera. While some sections of fans have called it a ‘visual feast’, another section has expressed their disappointment.

Admittedly, the teaser’s major letdown is that it didn’t feature Chiru mouthing any dialogues. Besides that, the film’s ‘good vs. evil’ theme, set-up, and production values look promising. On the flip side, some netizens have taken a dig at the makers by trolling the film’s poor VFX big time.

Overall, the reception to Vishwambhara’s teaser has been mixed-to-negative. Hope the makers take the negative feedback into consideration to polish their product to better it. Stay tuned for more updates on the film that is written and directed by Mallidi Vassishta.

Alia Bhatt’s Jigra – 1st Day Collections – Slow Start

Co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Jigra is an action thriller film featuring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in the lead roles. Co-written and directed by Vasan Bala, it has hit the big screens worldwide today in Hindi and Telugu.

Despite carrying good expectations, Jigra posted a modest opening of INR 5.5 crore (INR 4.5 Crore Nett). Clearly, this is a below-par figure, and a huge jump is needed today, which happens to be a nation-wide holiday. However, the real litmus test will be the numbers registering on the first Monday.

Jigra narrates the story of a young woman, Satya, who goes on a challenging path to break out her beloved brother Ankur of a prison. Stay tuned for more such exciting box-office updates.

The most-awaited teaser of Chiranjeevi’s fantasy drama Vishwambhara has finally hit the internet. There’s enormous expectations from this since it is the first promotional content from the film. Let’s see if it reaches the expectations.

Firstly, the teaser is visually stunning; barring a few animation-type scenes in the beginning, the visuals are of international standards. Besides this, the background music composed by M. M. Keeravani is enthralling. And of course, the Mega Star is as usually terrific.

On the flip side, there’s no dialogue from our beloved Chiru, which might disappoint some section of fans. Overall, Vishwambhara’s teaser is a sixer and is sure to improve the buzz around the film. Made on a lavish budget, the film is written and directed by Mallidi Vassishta. As officially announced, this flick is not arriving for Sankranthi, and the new release date is yet to be finalized.

Chiranjeevi’s Sacrifice For Ram Charan!

It’s official: Game Changer will hit the big screens worldwide in January next year, coinciding with the festival of Sankranthi. Trade call it excellent release planning since this season is the biggest for Telugu cinema.

Barring Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly, no other biggies are arriving in January. Clearly, a Sankranthi release is a blockbuster date across the three major languages. Considering that, the makers of the political thriller have postponed the film.

As the title reads, this move wouldn’t have happened without the support of ‘Mega Star’. As ‘Dil’ Raju himself has said, the team of Vishwambhara were kind enough to alter their release plans to accommodate Game Changer. In the announcement video, the ace producer has thanked ‘UV Creations’ for their generosity.
