NTR’s Next Is Devara 2

0

NTR is all set to enthrall his fans with his Bollywood debut film, War 2, on the 14th. Currently, the actor is involved in the shoot of his big action film with Neel. NTR will move on next to Devara 2.

As said above, the NTR-Neel movie is on floors currently, and the shooting is in full swing. There was a dilemma among fans and audiences about which would be the next project for Tarak after Dragon.

The actor already announced Devara 2, and he also has a film with Jailer fame Nelson, and recently announced a massive project with Trivikram.

The latest news is that NTR’s next film is Devara 2, and it will go on floors in early 2026. Director Koratala Siva will complete all pre-production works this year, and Tarak will finish the shoot of Dragon this year.

After Devara 2, it needs to be seen whether the RR actor will do Nelson’s film or Trivikram’s film or will work on both movies in parallel.

Nelson has Jailer 2 with Rajinikanth, and Trivikram has Venkatesh’s film, and they both will start pre-production works for NTR films, mostly in the second half of 2026.

Kingdom Weekend Numbers Underwhelm

0

Vijay Devarakonda’s Kingdom, despite its weekday release, had a thunderous response at the box office on the release day. The film registered the biggest opening in Vijay Deverakonda’s career, collecting an impressive ₹34 crore gross worldwide on its first day, setting a new personal benchmark.

The momentum carried into Friday (Day 2), where the film held reasonably well, managing to earn in double digits, giving rise to optimistic trade expectations. Analysts anticipated a strong surge over the weekend, particularly on Saturday and Sunday, with hopes that the film could reach its breakeven point by the end of the weekend itself.

However, the Kingdom’s performance over the weekend came as a surprise. Both Saturday and Sunday remained flat, with some areas even recording lower collections than Friday. This unexpected dip resulted in the weekend total falling short of initial box office projections and trade expectations.

Now, the film faces a challenging road ahead. With weekend trends not favoring the film, it requires strong weekday collections to recover and reach breakeven. But based on the current trend, that goal appears increasingly difficult. The coming days will be crucial in determining the box office fate of the Kingdom.

War 2 aims to break Salman Khan and YRF’s Tiger 3 opening to achieve the biggest start for a Bollywood film, while Rajinikanth’s Coolie aims to cross Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh’s Leo opening and to achieve Kollywood’s biggest opening.

Mahavatar Narsimha’s 2nd Sunday Surpasses Entire 1st Weekend Gross

Mahavatar Narsimha is continuing its tremendous run at the box office, pulling in impressive collections across all regions and languages. The film earned more than ₹20 crore gross worldwide during the first weekend — a solid start by all means. But the real turning point came on its second Sunday, with a staggering ₹25 crore gross collection in a single day. This figure alone surpassed the film’s entire first weekend total, highlighting the film’s rapidly increasing momentum.

The second Sunday stood out as the film’s biggest day so far, driven by overwhelmingly positive word of mouth and strong repeat viewership. With such remarkable performance, the movie has officially joined the ₹100 crore gross club and is now firmly on track to reach the ₹200 crore milestone in the coming days.

Both Hindi and Telugu versions are contributing significantly to its success, with the Hindi version taking a strong lead. As per trade sources, the Hindi version of the movie is expected to cross ₹100 crore net in India alone. This may possibly set new benchmarks in the days to come.

The film’s sustained collections and houseful shows into its second weekend confirm that Mahavatar Narasimha is not just a commercial hit — it’s turning into a box office sensation.

Telugu Film Industry Hit by Strike Call

0

Telugu films have started to make their strong presence felt across Pan-India with their massive span and crowd-pleasing content. However, the Telugu Film Industry has been hit by the strike call of the Telugu Film Industry Employees’ Federation.

In recent weeks, the Telugu Film Industry Employees’ Federation has been negotiating with producers regarding a suggested wage increase. The Federation includes 24 various categories of workers in the film sector, ranging from technical teams to production personnel. Discussions have been continuing, but no final agreement has been made.

On August 3, 2025, the Federation convened an executive committee meeting in Hyderabad to plan the next steps. After thorough internal discussions and talks with senior members and industry experts, the Federation has made an official decision.

Telugu Film Industry Employees’ Federation calls for a Strike

Starting August 4, all film productions under the Federation’s authority will be halted unless producers agree to a 30% wage increase. The Federation stated that only production teams that officially acknowledge the new pay structure in writing will be permitted to continue filming. Projects that do not comply will not be recognized and must stop operations.

To facilitate ongoing discussions, the Federation has designated Buggasamudram Muralimohan and Veeramsetty as official representatives. The Federation also confirmed that this decision has the backing of prominent figures in the film industry and long-standing organizations like Sudheer Cinema and West Indian Sound Lab, which have also submitted formal letters of support.

Employees’ Federation’s Strike Call Can Affect Many Telugu Films Shooting

The Telugu Film Industry has been hit by the strike call of the Telugu Film Industry Employees’ Federation, as this move will affect many current and future film projects. Although discussions between the Federation and producers are likely to persist, this decision shows a strong position taken by the workers’ organization to advocate for improved wages.

If not addressed promptly, this issue could postpone several film timelines and influence releases in the upcoming months. Everyone is now waiting for the producers’ reply in the next few days.

Coolie Needs a Second Trailer

0

With the release date nearing, the craze among fans about Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie is still intact. It is already registering good numbers in advance sales. But Coolie needs a second trailer to raise the hype to the next level.

On August 2, amidst massive expectations, the trailer of the action drama was released, but did not meet the high expectations of fans. There is an argument that the makers did not want to show much of the film’s content.

Lokesh Kanagaraj fails to meet expectations with Coolie’s Trailer

However, if Lokesh did not want to reveal the story or high moments, he could have edited a short trailer or glimpse like the Powerhouse promo. The lengthy trailer has given the first negative impression of the film.

Now certainly, it will have an impact on the film’s openings, and it also clashes with War 2 in all languages. In Tamil, the Yash Raj Films’ spy action drama is not War 2 and not a competitor for Rajini-Lokesh’s film.

Rajinikanth – Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie needs a second trailer to get big momentum

But to get the massive hype and record number of screens in Telugu and Hindi, Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie needs a second trailer.

The film needs a massive hype, as in Telugu, as NTR’s stardom will help War 2 along with the YRF Spy Franchise brand, because of which the film already carries big buzz.

So if the theater owners or even audiences have to choose Coolie over War 2, some high content is needed before release for it.

Lokesh and the Sun Pictures team need to come up with a release trailer or new promo that brings a big momentum and raises an immense buzz on the film.

0

There are just 11 days left until the release of War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR. The film’s trailer and first song have been released so far, and the most awaited dance number from War 2 will be out soon.

One of the most exciting factors for the fans in the much-hyped War sequel is the dance number between the two leads, Tarak and Hrithik. Both are considered the best Indian dancers, and people eagerly await seeing a dance number between them.

War 2: An Energetic Dance Number of Hrithik Roshan and NTR to arrive this week

Reportedly, the team also did an energetic dance number featuring both heroes, and the most awaited dance number from War 2 of Hrithik Roshan and NTR will be out soon.

According to the inside reports, the song will arrive this week. An announcement promo will come first, and then the full song will be released this week.

NTR and Hrithik Roshan’s Dance Number Can Take The Hype To The Next Level For War 2

This is a great move from the team of Yash Raj Films, as a high amount of promotional content is needed right before the release, and this dance number will certainly provide that.

Aavan Jaavan/Oopiri Ooyalaga, the first single of War Sequel, has been released recently and it received a good response, and the dance number is the second single for the film.

FireStorm: Record Likes, But Views Disappoint

0

Pawan Kalyan’s OG movie’s first single, Firestorm, has become the discussion point among fans and movie lovers in the last two days. While the song, Firestorm, received a record number of likes, the views are not as big as expected.

Composed by Thaman, the action-energetic song was released yesterday amidst massive craze, and despite a few mixed responses to the loud music, it received a good response overall.

FireStorm From OG Receives Record Likes in 24 Hours

Sujeeth’s presentation of Pawan Kalyan and the lyrical video’s composition received a very big response, and it is a huge song for fans. The song created an all-time record with over 830K likes in 24 hours.

However, shockingly, the views are not that great compared to other top movies’ songs. While many songs reach 10M, 15M, or even 20M views within 24 hours, “They Call Him OG”‘s first single clocked only 6.2M views.

The OG First Single, FireStorm, does not receive massive views

PSPK fans are happy as Pawan Kalyan’s OG’s first single, Firestorm, received a record number of likes, but the views are not as big as expected.

It seems the team went completely organic and did not buy the views, or they did not play the ads. There is also a discussion that there might be a chance of a glitch in YouTube, because of which the views are not updated.

The song’s result will be decided in the next few days, and we should wait and see how big it gets. OG is a crucial film in Pawan Kalyan’s career, as recently, the star has not seen a big success.

Especially, the disastrous result of Hari Hara Veera Mallu has a massive impact on Pawan’s stardom and his fans.

Big Mistake by Allu Arjun?

0

It is widely known that Allu Arjun and Trivikram were all set to do a big Pan-India film with a mythological project. However, the actor chose to work with Atlee. Looking at the latest developments in Indian cinema, now it feels like Allu Arjun made a mistake by rejecting Trivikram’s film.

There is no need for a special introduction to the name of Trivikram Srinivas, as he is one of the most celebrated directors in Telugu cinema. Rajamouli and Sukumar made pan-Indian films, but the Attarintiki Daredi director did not make such a big film till now.

Trivikram – Allu Arjun: A Big Pan-India Project Announced and Cancelled

He planned a film based on his script, Ithihaasas/Mythology, for a grand debut at the pan-India level with Allu Arjun, and it was officially announced.

But somehow, after Pushpa 2, the Icon star thought that a film with Atlee would be right over Trivi’s film and started the film with the Jawan director, and the film’s shoot is in progress now.

NTR replaces Allu Arjun in Trivikram’s Movie on Subramanya Swamy

On the other side, Trivirkam fixed the same film with NTR, based on Subramanya Swamy, which was recently announced. In recent years, the films with the backdrop of Indian mythology or Bharateeya Ithihaasas are making waves at the box office, bringing all language audiences to theaters.

Mahavatar Narasimha is the latest example of how big numbers can be brought by that genre. After seeing the success of the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe’s first film, people, including Allu Arjun’s fans, think that Allu Arjun made a mistake by rejecting Trivikram.

Fans say Allu Arjun made a mistake as he rejected Trivikram’s Film

The movie lovers and even industry people know that Trivikram Srinivas has vast knowledge of Indian history, and when Trivikram decided to make a grand film in that genre, it was a sure-shot blockbuster opportunity, which Arjun denied.

After a massive blockbuster like Pushpa 2, Trivi’s film would have certainly been a massive project for AA. But we need to wait and see how both films perform after release.

Allu Arjun – Atlee’s Project and NTR – Trivikram’s Project: Both Results Crucial for the stars

Even if Atlee’s film receives success, if Trivikram delivers a masterpiece, then it can be said to be the costliest mistake in the career of the Pushpa actor. But if Trivirkam fails to deliver, then we can say that Arjun made the right decision.

Only time can tell the results of both movies, but everyone believes Trivikram cannot go wrong with Ithihaasas.

0

The latest animated/devotional movie, Mahavatar Narsimha, rules the Indian box office among many biggies that are currently running in the theaters. With the help of exceptional reception from audiences, Mahavatar Narsimha creates history by achieving the 100 Cr milestone.

The film is literally having a phenomenal weekend at the box office, and the second weekend is miles ahead of the first weekend, with today being the biggest day for it.

Mahavatar Narsimha joins the 100 Cr Club today

Mahavatar Narsimha creates history as it joins the 100 Cr club today. This was an outstanding achievement, as it is the 1st animated film to collect 100 crores gross from Indian cinema.

Looking at the current trend, the film will easily cross the 200 Cr milestone too. Around 70% of the revenue for the film is coming from Hindi, while 25% is from Telugu and 5% from other languages.

One more thing to notice is that the film, Mahavtar Narsimha, is not a standalone film, as the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe franchise has multiple projects in the pipeline.

The MCU franchise has become one of the biggest franchises ever in Indian cinema’s history.
