Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, faced multiple delays, and now, it is set to release in theaters on September 5, 2025. The team shared the updated release date at the end of the trailer that was released some time back. 

It also means that the movie is officially set to compete with Teja Sajja’s Mirai and Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi.

Overall, the Ghaati trailer is intense, and it introduces a novel premise for Telugu cinema that has not been explored before. The visuals are impressive, and the video is anchored by a commanding performance from Anushka Shetty, whose character looks to have different shades.

The film shows strong technical promise, and all eyes are now on director Krish to see if he can reclaim his form after two consecutive setbacks.

War 2 Telugu Pre-Release Event Buzz

The excitement around the big spy-action drama War 2 is at the next level among fans. Especially NTR fans are waiting for the film’s promotional event. The War 2 Telugu pre-release event will be held this Sunday.

Producer Naga Vamsi, who is also the distributor of the sequel of War in Telugu States, stated that efforts are going on to arrange the War 2 Telugu pre-release event in Hyderabad this Sunday. 

However, the makers still await final permissions and approvals for it. An official update about the film’s grand event will be announced soon.

War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR, hits theaters on August 14. Along with the exciting action scenes, the spy thriller also throws in a dance battle between the leads. A new buzz in Bollywood says YRF wants to keep the full song under wraps for now to save the excitement for theaters.

Yash Raj Films took to its official social media account and gave the official thumbs up on that. In their new post on X, YRF wrote, “There will be WAR on the dance floor too! Tomorrow, catch a glimpse of the dance rivalry that you can ONLY watch on the BIG SCREEN when War 2 releases in cinemas from 14th Aug worldwide in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.”

In Hindi, the song’s title is Janaabe Ali; it’s Salam Anali in Telugu and Kalaaba in Tamil. Fans got a sneak peek when the producers shared a poster featuring the star duo, but their faces were shrouded in darkness. 

Everyone is curious to see whether Janaabe Ali will match the range of Naatu Naatu from RRR. This biggie also features Kiara Advani in an important part.

Vijay said that he gave all the details of his bank transactions, contract, and amount taken to the ED!

“There is an investigation going on regarding betting apps, but I was called for clarification on gaming apps. The Supreme Court and the state government will decide what is right or wrong,” he told reporters.

His statement comes days after actor Prakash Raj was questioned by the ED in the same case. The renowned actor appeared before the agency on July 30 after being named among 29 celebrities in an FIR filed by the Cyberabad police.

The FIR accuses actors and influencers of promoting betting apps through digital advertisements. Prakash Raj, who was reportedly associated with the gaming app Junglee Rummy in 2016, has clarified that he withdrew from the endorsement in 2017 after realizing it was inappropriate.

The ED is tracking financial transactions and digital trails linked to the celebrities named in the FIR. The list includes Rana Daggubati, Manchu Lakshmi, Nidhi Agarwal, Ananya Nagalla, and television anchor Srimukhi.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 collected more than 1 million for premieres, and War 2 certainly has a chance to join this club, but it needs aggressive pre-sales to do so.

The actor received allegations of receiving money in the form of Hawala. During his visit, Vijay met the media, and he requested them not to ask time-pass questions, and he would do everything after interrogation.

Vijay Deverakonda, the Telugu actor, showed up at the ED on Wednesday to give his statement about the betting app case. The ED sent out notices to film stars promoting betting apps, and now they have called Vijay to show up at their zonal office in Basheerbagh for questioning.

The actor who previously appeared in a betting app ad got booked by the Cyberabad police along with some other famous actors for promoting betting. The ED kicked off its own investigation into the issue after the FIR came out.

Some people complain that the promotion of betting apps by celebrities lured many in, leading to massive financial losses, and tragically, some even took their own lives.

The ED has reached out to 36 film personalities with notices so far. They called Rana Daggubati to show up on July 23. But he asked to come back on August 11. Manchu Lakshmi needs to come in for an investigation on August 13, according to the ED’s notice.

Prakash Raj, the senior actor, had already met with the ED officials and shared his statement about the case earlier.
