0

Everyone knows about the issues that Vijay’s Jana Nayagan has faced with the censor board and the court. Now, it is being reported that Jana Nayagan’s new release date has been confirmed.

The buzz is that the film’s team has edited a fresh cut of the film, which they are ready to submit to the CBFC. The makers are also said to be planning to withdraw the case. With these developments, some positive news regarding the new release date of Jana Nayagan is expected in the next 2–3 days.

The producers have informed distributors they are aiming to release the film on 20th February. If everything goes well next week, all official announcements are scheduled soon.

Let us wait and watch whether the team of KVN Productions can things right this time.

2025 Game Changer and 2026 The Raja Saab: Crores Wasted in Production

0

Prabhas and Maruthi’s The Raja Saab is currently streaming on Jio Hotstar. The film became a big failure at the box office. There are many similarities between The Raja Saab and Game Changer, and both are Sankranthi releases.

Movie results are never entirely in anyone’s control, and every team puts in immense effort to achieve success. But poor planning, lack of strict supervision, weak regulations, and irregular content reviews can sometimes push producers into massive losses running into crores.

Same results for Game Changer and The Raja Saab

Last year’s Sankranthi release Game Changer and this year’s Sankranthi release The Raja Saab faced similar issues. Had both films been completed within sensible budgets, the producers might have stayed in a safer position even if the final results remained the same. In both cases, a large amount of footage was shot and later discarded, leading to crores of rupees being wasted with no practical use. The productions also dragged on for an unusually long time on sets.

Regular content reviews and close monitoring of runtime, budget limits, and overall calculations could have helped the producers stay at least financially comfortable. Due to major miscalculations, Game Changer turned into Dil Raju’s biggest loss venture, while The Raja Saab became the biggest setback for People Media Factory.

Both films had strong concepts and big stars, and despite heavy investments, the directors failed to deliver the expected output. That said, producers also share responsibility. Active involvement at every stage of production and strict accountability are essential to ensure that directors deliver the promised content within the agreed budget.

Peddi: A Big Task Ahead to Meet the Release Date

0

Peddi, which was earlier scheduled for release on March 27, has been postponed due to pending shoot schedules. The makers have now locked a new release date, April 30. But Peddi team has to get through a big fan task the announced release date.

To meet the deadline, the team will need to work without breaks, as nearly 40 days of shooting are still left. Of this, Ram Charan’s portions alone are expected to take close to 30 days.

Peddi team remains confident about making the April 30 release, as they are planning to wrap up the entire shoot by the end of March. Since post-production is progressing simultaneously, completing the shoot on time will give them enough space to finish all remaining work in April. Moreover, as the film does not rely heavily on VFX, the post-production process is expected to move swiftly.

Adding to the momentum, the makers are planning to release the second single later this month. Meanwhile, discussions for theatrical rights across all regions have already begun. With strong promotional material and growing buzz, Peddi continues to carry massive expectations.

Venkatesh – Anil Ravipudi – Fahadh Faasil

Director Anil Ravipudi has not yet officially announced his next project, but strong industry buzz suggests that he is set to collaborate once again with Venkatesh, this time alongside Fahadh Faasil. The director recently delivered a massive Sankranthi blockbuster with Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, further raising expectations for his next outing.

Since then, speculation around Ravipudi’s upcoming film has been intense. However, the delay in the official announcement is not related to the hero or the script. Reports indicate that discussions are still underway regarding the finalisation of the producer.

As per the latest buzz, the next film of Anil Ravipudi is locked with Venkatesh in the lead, while Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil is expected to play a key role. The film is reportedly aiming for a Sankranthi 2027 release, with shooting scheduled to begin in June.

The film is said to be a full-fledged family entertainer, with Venkatesh and Fahadh Faasil portraying a bava–bava maridi relationship. The story is expected to focus on the emotions between their two families.

Telugu audiences missed the opportunity to watch Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara’s Parasakthi in theatres, as the film was not released in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. But the film is now set to make its OTT debut on ZEE5 from tomorrow, streaming in both Tamil and Telugu.

Parasakthi was initially planned for a simultaneous theatrical release in Tamil and Telugu. Due to the heavy Sankranthi release rush in the Telugu states, the makers decided to release the Tamil version first, with the Telugu version scheduled for the Republic Day weekend.

“Parasakthi” Disappoints in Theaters – Can It Revive on OTT?

Unfortunately, the film did not receive the expected response in Tamil theatres, which led to the Telugu theatrical release being shelved. This raised doubts about whether the Telugu version would premiere on OTT. Those concerns have now been put to rest, as it has been officially confirmed that the Sudha Kongara directorial will stream in all South Indian languages on ZEE5 from February 7.

Parasakthi is arriving on ZEE5 this week

Starring Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan (Jayam Ravi), Sreeleela, and Atharvaa, Parasakthi is set in the 1960s. The film revolves around the anti-Hindi imposition agitations in the former Madras State, following the story of two brothers involved in the movement.

Mega fans have been celebrating back-to-back good news. Their favourite star, Ram Charan, was recently blessed with twins, and soon after, the makers of his upcoming film Peddi officially announced its release date. Adding to the excitement, details about Peddi’s second single have now been revealed.

Director Buchi Babu Sana impressed everyone with his strong musical sense in Uppena, and expectations are even higher for Peddi. The combination of Ram Charan and A. R. Rahman under Buchi Babu’s direction has created a massive buzz. The first single, “Chikiri Chikiri,” turned into a sensation and significantly raised expectations for the album.

Made as a sports-action drama, Peddi is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 30, 2026. Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. Ram Charan plays the titular role, with Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu appearing in key roles.

Jana Nayagan release stuck: No action from producer so far

0

The uncertainty surrounding the theatrical release of Vijay’s Jana Nayagan continues, with fans still waiting for an official clarification from the makers. As of now, there is no clear indication of when the film will hit the big screens.

It has been over a week since the Madras High Court Division Bench passed its orders. So far, the producer has neither appealed to the Supreme Court nor approached the High Court to amend the prayer or withdraw the writ petition. This leaves only one likely possibility, that the producer has agreed to refer the matter to the revising committee.

The CBFC’s decision to maintain strict confidentiality explains why the producer and others associated with the film have remained silent. If the revising committee gives a favourable recommendation, the producer may then choose to withdraw the writ petition and proceed with the release. But even this remains pure speculation, as no one directly involved is willing to share any details.

For now, fans continue to wait anxiously for the uncertainty on the release of Jana Nayagan to be cleared.

Hyderabad Gets New 8-Screen INOX at Odeon RTC X Roads

0

The multiplex-going audience count has grown considerably in recent years, and Hyderabad gets a new 8-screen INOX multiplex (PVR) at Odeon RTC X Roads, in the location where the old Odeon theaters used to be.

The 8-Screen Inox at Odeon RTC X Roads is now open with a total seating capacity of 1,402 seats, and the interesting thing is that this is the 19th PVR Inox in the city, taking their total screen count in Hyderabad alone to 119.

The shows at the multiplex began tonight at 8:30 PM. The patrons can make their first visit even better, as they can enjoy ₹100 OFF on their second ticket with the inaugural offer.

But the cinephiles are a bit disappointed, as this new multiplex does not have any specific, special screen format, which can bring some exclusivity to it.
